Capitol Hill Seattle
|
Adjacent to downtown with US I-5 as its western boundary. A good combination of

apartments), shopping, and nightlife. Home to a diverse population, including a
strong gay community.

Capitol Hill Seattle
Lake View Cemetery
|
Final resting place of Seattle's pioneers, the people whose names now grace the
city's streets, parks, and buildings.

Capitol Hill Seattle
Volunteer Park
|
| Located on Capitol Hill, the park was once the home to the Seattle Art Museum, a
building which is now occupied by the Seattle Asian Art Museum. The park grounds
also feature a conservatory and a beautiful view of the city, which is enhanced
if you can make the climb up the 108 steps of the old water tower. |
Capitol Hill Seattle Neighbourhood
|
Most of the Hill's major thoroughfares are dotted with coffeehouses, taverns
and bars, and residences cover the gamut from modest motel-like studio apartment
buildings to some of the city's grandest and most venerable mansions, with the
two extremes sometimes shoulder-to-shoulder.

Capitol Hill Seattle nightlife and entertainment
|
The neighborhood figures prominently in nightlife and entertainment, with
many bars hosting live music and with numerous fringe theatres. At night
enthusiastic (and at times eccentric) people fill the streets enjoying the
diverse entertainment and the culture of openness and acceptance.
