Stayed here for a conference down town - great value and location, but traffic
to downtown is a hassle - but manageable.

Stayed 5 days for a visit in and around Bellevue. We're previous residents who
went back to see friends and visit old haunts. We bought a package deal that
included this hotel, and were nervous about it after seeing other's reviews.
However we were pleasantly surprised and pleased with the accommodations and
experience.
Pros:
- Spotlessly clean room, everyday
- GREAT shower
- Room well appointed and everything worked well
- Free continental breakfast offered good choices and GREAT coffee (BUT, go
early to get best selections). LOVED the large glass wall overlooking the
greenery in the courtyard. Very comfortable seating and mostly friendly staff.
Also offered menu service in addition to free breakfast.
- Hotel offered free computer and printer to get boarding passes, etc.
- Free in-room internet worked great
- Close to everything, with easy access to I405/520 and downtown Bellevue
- Restaurant has best bacon cheeseburger in town!
- Refrigerator/coffee in room (no microwave)
Cons:
- Located on a very busy, noisy street. But room air conditioner/blower masked
the street noise.
- Restaurant at breakfast was very understaffed one day. Dishes piled up on
tables, shortages of food. I think a server failed to show up for duty. Go EARLY
to get best food/service.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2011. The hotel service and condition is
definitely not up to a 3-star hotel in the same area. The room and the hallways
are very old. The wireless Internet doesn't work in the rooms and you can only
get wireless coverage in the lobby and the parking area. The fridge in our room
wasn't working. The beds are very clean and the bathrooms are good as well. I
hadn't seen TFT Tvs in a hotel room for a long time as most hotels have flat
screens LCDs these days. The TV channels are very limited and hard to browse
through. The complementary breakfast was just ok with no fruits included. The
location of the hotel is good if you want to stay close to the downtown in
Bellevue. I didn't find the staff friendly enough, I had requested for a baby
crib and had to call the front desk 3 times to get the crib and it was almost
10:00 pm at night - 3 hours after we checked in. Overall, set your expectation
at a the level for a 2-star hotel otherwise you won't be happy with staying at
this place.

Free Parking. Bar had a couple good local micro-brews for a reasonable price.
Lobby was just ok. Treed courtyard ok but could be nicer. Elevator was in bad
shape. 2 Queen room was cramped. Cot seemed like it was from 1960. The
mattresses were hard and slanted really bad to one side. Tub was old, stained,
and wouldn't drain. Ice machines in hallway could be heard on the far side of
our room....sounded like a toilet flushing all night. Wifi didn't work. If you
get this room for $35-50/night it's ok. Anymore than that and you'll feel
cheated. |
