I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and this is centrally located in Bellevue
downtown. The quality of rooms is average and hotel seems to be old and dull.
However, it is 1-2 miles away from bellevue downtown markets and is convenient
that way. There is no heated pool to enjoy in winters as well so the quality of
activities within hotel is very low. But for a nonfrill business traveller it is
good.
Bellevue Hilton Hotel Reviews

A very decent older Hilton offering a glimpse back to the 80s, not luxurious as
such but certainly not bad either. I.e. does its job as “3.5 star” place! Review
based on a two night stay in December’11 (background of spending 80+ nights per
year in different hotels around the globe)
Location:
Hotel is located right next to the highway so quick & easy connectivity via
I-405. In case there’s no rush hour of course…
Relatively short (maybe half a mile) walk to Bellevue center offering a decent
selection of restaurants, bars, shops and other ways to spend your time, nothing
really of interest in the immediate neighborhood though.
Room:
I received an upgrade to some sort of suite in 10th floor, the room was really
big with separate living & sleeping rooms. Décor was rather traditional but not
really too old fashioned. The room was very clean with no signs of usage.
Bathroom was very spacious with a proper Jacuzzi tub, though the shower section
probably had not been updated since 80s.
Plenty of free parking space right next to the hotel.
Continental breakfast in the restaurant was good with a wide selection & good
quality, including a chef making omelet / waffles.
Would I return there?
Why not, I had really nothing to complain about. Not really luxurious but then
again I didn’t expect it

Although the Hilton is a world-wide chain and I've stayed at some decent hotels
with the chain, this hotel was a bit disappointing. Luckily for me, I had a
cheap Priceline deal otherwise I'd be quite disappointed paying $100+ for a
night at this hotel. Note: they also said they're going to start charging for
parking soon although when we stayed there first weekend December 2011, parking
was still free.
Pros:
1) Check in was quick and efficient upon arrival
2) Check out was just as quick and efficient upon departure
3) Large spacious room
4) Housekeep service was efficient even at midnight when I called to request
extra towels and a corkscrew.
5) Free shuttle around Bellevue - although I didn't use this service, great to
offer this.
Cons:
1) No free wi-fi anywhere in the hotel - at least provide in the lobby like most
hotels do these days. Charging $15 for wi-fi is ridiculous these days when most
hotels are complimentary with rewards card or in the lobby.
2) No fridge in rooms. They charge $15 if you want to rent one. Fridges are more
so an amenity that's included in most chains, even the motels and smaller hotel
chains.
3) No fan in the washroom.
4) Washroom tub looked a bit grimey - like it didn't get cleaned/bleached
properly. Showerhead needs upgrading as most hotels these days have really nice
rain shower heads.
5) Small size for TV in such a large room (not a huge Con considering it's
better than no tv)
Final comments: don't pay full rates for this hotel. This hotel needs a facelift
in order to keep competing. In the future I'm going to be looking at staying at
other hotels around the area.

A little too close to the freeway for my liking, but nice hotel. Kim was very
helpful at font desk. Concierge breakfast better than average. Not walking
distance to downtown Bellevue, but they have a free shuttle service. Lots of
places to run nearby (try the trails at Mercer Slough, but try not to get lost).
Was able to get a good rate at the last minute (prices dropped so I cancelled a
previous reservation and rebooked at lower rate). rooms are good size and
comfortable. |
