La Quinta Inn Hotel Bellevue

This is no luxury hotel but very suitable for sleeping at a fair price. Though
outside of downtown Seattle, in fact across a heavily traveled bridge, plan your
day to start after 9:30 AM is you are headed for Seattle. But if you are headed
to either Kirkland or Bellevue, this spot is ideal since it is halfway between
each. There is a drive in restaurant with good burgers right next door and a
supermarket is just a few minutes away on the road to Bellevue.

Showed up to checkin and nobody was at the front desk. Has to call their number.
Lady in the lobby said that a bunch of people had come by but there was nobody
behind the counter. Worst part though was the smoky room. Made my eyes sting and
water it was so bad. I didn't even get my clothes out of my suitcase. I also had
to park really far away because the parking lot was so small and full. If I
could rank this hotel any lower I would! Oh yeah and the night front desk guy
was sketchy. Looked like he hadn't showered for a few days.

Didn't book beforehand but walked in and got a cheaper rate than on the
internet. Desk clerk was really nice. Room had one queen bed, microwave and
fridge. Free internet. Free parking. Free breakfast from 6:30-9:30 which I did
not have because that's way to early for me on vacation!
Room was pretty quiet, but I wore earplugs. Overall, no problems and I would
stay here again!

Featured high speed internet consisted of one three foot Ethernet cord
attached to wall in the corner of the room. The front desk stated that
they "had longer cords but they were all out". I went to the closest
store, Fred Meyer, and shelled out $15 for one long enough to allow me
to lay on the bed and have internet access. Pool was outside and it was
too cold to swim. Newspaper outside of some rooms but not all. Only
thing hot at breakfast were waffles. Only wonderful thing about this
place. quiet room and comfortable mattresses/pillows.

At the end of a camping/road trip to the Olympic National Forest, we
decided to stay one night in one of our favorite Seattle 'burbs,
Kirkland. Well located right off the freeway, close to the lake and
restaurants, we found the La Quinta Inn quite adequate.
Front Desk staff were extremely friendly, check in and check out were
easy and hassle free. The rooms are well kept and clean, and while not
luxurious, it had everything we needed. We were on the first floor with
a room that faced the freeway, and we were not disturned by traffic
noise at all. This is a very quiet hotel. They serve the typical hotel
continental breakfast of hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice and waffles,
and again...nothing fancy, but just what we needed.
The hotel is quite close to Lake Washington and the shops and
restaurants of Kirkland. Lake Washington has many, many parks along the
shore, so if you are walker or jogger, you will love it! The view of
Seattle is amazing.
Next time we hunger for a Seattle area weekend getaway, we will stay at
this La Quinta Inn again. People traveling with well behaved dogs are
welcomed, and there is no additional pet fee.

Brought my dog so I could avoid boarding her. Hotel was comfortable,
Free Parking, No dog fee, area to walk dog on Lake Washington and safe
neighborhood. Staff and guests were friendly and helpful. Dining options
within walking distance. A bit noisy (trash pickup during nite) and no
local market, but overall a great experience and I will return each
month! |
