WELCOME
TO GONZAGA!!!Gonzaga University is located in Spokane, Washington, a
metropolitan city of 400,000 people, which serves as the financial and cultural
center of the inland northwest section of the United States. Not only is Spokane
Gonzaga's home, it is a vital and dynamic part of the University's character.
The city offers vast opportunities for students to pursue their interests,
whether they be in internships with local businesses or in any of the multitude
of outdoor activities characteristic of the magnificent Pacific Northwest.
Gonzaga's grass-covered 108-acre campus has 87 buildings scattered on the north
bank of the beautiful Spokane River.
Gonzaga University is a private, four-year comprehensive university. Gonzaga's
educational philosophy is based on the 450-year Ignatian model that aims to
educate the whole person -- mind, body and spirit -- an integration of science
and art, faith and reason, action and contemplation. At Gonzaga, "cura
personalis," or care for the individual, is our guiding theme.
Gonzaga was founded in 1887, and enrolls about 5,400 students in 92
undergraduate and 21 graduate programs. The Gonzaga School of Law is one of
three in the state of Washington. Located in Spokane, Wash., Gonzaga's campus is
situated on 108 acres along the beautiful Spokane River, within a 10-minute walk
of downtown Spokane. Spokane enjoys a population of 190,000 within city limits,
and more than 400,000 in the greater Spokane area.
