Valley College
WVC's commitment to the healthy economic future of our region is reflected in
our partnership in the Confluence Technology Center where we provide job
training and other services for new and existing businesses and industries
throughout the Wenatchee Valley. WVC also provides continuing education and
training for individuals, classes for licensure/re-licensure, and general
interest classes throughout the year.
Wenatchee Valley College is dedicated to your success. For decades, the college
has been helping students make important decisions about their futures--setting
and reaching their goals and moving to four-year schools and into the workplace
with the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
With a district that covers more than 10,000 square miles (larger than
Massachusetts and Rhode Island combined), WVC draws from the rich histories of
the Wenatchee and Okanogan valleys. Our rich tradition of quality education
began when we opened our doors in 1939 and has expanded to include communities
from the North Cascades to Grand Coulee Dam to the rich farmlands of Eastern
Washington and the Columbia River Valley.
We strongly believe that the mission of Wenatchee Valley College is reflected in
our work: "...(to serve) the educational and cultural needs of its communities
and the residents...." We at WVC enjoy our work and meeting those diverse,
lifelong educational needs of our region and developing the potential of our
students.
The Wenatchee campus is located near the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains,
midway between Seattle and Spokane. Its 52-acre site includes modern classrooms
and laboratories, including a new art facility, distance learning classrooms,
computer and science labs, a bookstore, a student center, library, fitness
center, cafeteria, campus theater, art gallery, district administrative offices
and the Washington Higher Education Telecommunications Center.
The Grady and
Lillie Auvil Teaching and Demonstration Orchard is located in the Wenatchee
campus area. The WVC Community and Professional Program is located in North
Central Washington's new Confluence Technology Center, not far from the
Wenatchee campus. |
