Stayed for 1 night to attend a concert at the Key Arena. Front desk staff very
helpful in giving us walking directions for both the Outback Steakhouse and the
Key Arena. There is a big grocery store 3 blocks away which is nice to pick up
snacks etc. Small fridge in room we used. Free parking which was a big plus
since most hotels in the area charge for parking. Breakfast was included so nice
we didn't have to find anywhere else to go first thing in the morning. Will
definitely stay there again to attend functions at the Key Arena.

The Comfort Suites is located in the Seattle Center/Queen Anne district of
Seattle. During our stay we comfortably walked from this location all over
Seattle.
Even though the Comfort Suites offer a complimentary breakfast - be sure to
check out Citizen Coffee around the corner. This was one of our favourite things
about Seattle, and we wouldn't have found it had we stayed elsewhere. It was
great to have the QFC Supermarket open 24 hours on Mercer Street. We were able
to buy cheap meals and then eat them in our spacious room, which had a view of
the space needle.
The staff were friendly, and happy to help with directions and organising
transport. And, they offered a business center with free Internet.
Ah, Seattle.. I wish I stayed longer!

I am the Front Desk Supervisor for the Quality Inn Valley Suites in Spokane
Valley, Wa. I know exactly how a good, clean hotel should be ran. I see the
little things that the average traveller might not see. This hotel is ABSOLUTELY
GREAT. With a very sceptical eye, I looked around the property and watched the
staff. I quickly felt right at home and I knew this was a very nice hotel, just
like mine! This hotel is beautiful and they should be very proud of it!
When looking for a hotel, I wanted a good location. This hotel is of course
right downtown and, with MapQuest's help, it was quite easy to find. It is very
close to the Seattle Center area and only minutes away from freeway access.
There is a convenient 24hr QFC grocery store just 2 blocks away. It was great to
stock up before heading back home and for a late night bite to eat. My
girlfriend and I were happy to find out that we were only minutes away from
Queen Anne and the trendy little shops there! We did not eat the hotel breakfast
in the morning because we wanted to eat at Noah's Bagels instead. Nothing
against the hotel's breakfast but seem as how I work at a similar hotel, I've
had the same food a hundred times before. I'm sure it's great! Hopefully next
time I'll get to try it! Judging by the pictures, it seemed very nice, plentiful
and the seating area was huge!!
The staff service was perfect and I was very impressed!! Ryan helped us out
twice finding fun stuff to do. He also checked us in. He is this hotel's F.D.
Supervisor and I know why! He was so nice and professional. Thanks Ryan! Our
room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. It's very nice and it looked even
better than the pictures on the internet! It was very very clean and smelled
great. The beds were super comfy and we slept like babies! I have only very
minor suggestions for our room. In my opinion, the room decor is a little boring
- I wished for wamer, more romantic / soothing colors. But don't get me wrong,
it's very nice and it's much much better than most hotels I've seen! We were on
the first floor and flourescent light outside our window bothered us a little
bit. The room was never really very dark. It seemed to be almost like daylight
outside our window when it was midnight. We could see into the street and there
is no way to close the curtains fully. The sheer curtains just aren't enough to
have perfect privacy. We took a walk around outside our room and looked in. We
were pleased to see it's virtually impossible for anyone on the street to see
in. Still, I'd like the larger curtains to close too. No problem though, I'll
request an upper floor next time. Why so few television channels? I was very
suprised to find no History Channel, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, etc.
It's mostly basic news channels and a couple movie channels. Kids would be
pretty bored... That said, the Olympics entertained us and they are just boring
enough to fall asleep to. And we really didn't spend enough time in our room to
justify a ton of channels anyway.
We had a GREAT time in Seattle. This mini vacation was exactly what we needed to
recharge our batteries. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone coming
to the Seattle area! It's convenient, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The
staff, especially the front desk, is so nice! It's amazing I could only find
minor things to suggest. You guys do an awesome job! Keep it up! Anytime I am in
the area, I am sure to return to this hotel. If you're coming to Spokane, be
sure to look me up. Thanks for everything!

I was here for 2 nights while on business in Seattle. I was concerned about the
location but it was actually great - safe and convenient.
The room was very comfortable, good wi fi, fridge, micro, comfy bed, good work
space.
The (FREE!!) parking is located under the building - don't try to bring your big
SUV - the clearance is really low. And the parking spaces are super small. I did
appreciate the security of having to use your room key to enter the garage.
I ran into the same situation as a previous reviewer - unless you are really
patient and like a lot of noise - plan on having breakfast elsewhere. Too many
people, not enough food or room to eat. I did find a fantastic option for
breakfast nearby.
Finally, I wasn't impressed with the front desk staff. I found the woman that
checked me in to be really unfriendly and not helpful. I would have appreciated
some info about the surrounding area but she didn't welcome further
conversation. I didn't find out about the grocery around the corner until I was
leaving town! Overall - good sleep, safe, comfortable and good price.

We were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The
location was ideal as we used public transportation for the first half of our
trip and the hotel is an easy four blocks from the monorail in Seattle Center.
There is also a grocery store one block West and a Pizzeria Pagliacci (yum!!)
delivery location one block North.
The only snag we hit was the breakfast. Keeping in mind that it was a three-day
weekend, they were truly slammed and quickly ran out of most things. We did not
have such a problem on Friday, but once the masses arrived it got pretty crazy.
We ate out Sunday after dealing with the insanity Saturday, and then were forced
to on Monday just because there was basically no food left.
On Friday, the calm before the storm, these were the breakfast items available:
waffles, baked goods (bread, bagels, danishes, muffins), some sort of hot dish
(the eggs are truly scary, not cooked on site, they must come in frozen - their
texture is not unlike upholstery foam), three types of cereal, instant oatmeal,
apples, yogurt, milk, coffee, tea, juice. By Monday they had waffles, bread,
bagels, and cereal, plus drinks. They even ran out of instant oatmeal!
Couldn't beat the price, and with the savings and location we would stay here
again. Now that we know our way around even better we would just plan on
stocking a few things from the grocery store in our mini fridge for breakfast
back-up.

Well, we originally booked a room with two double beds, but arrived to find a
king and double for the same price! What a pleasant surprise! The free
underground parking is amazing , and the hotel location, ideal. The only downer
was the subpar breakfast. Sort of minimal and plain. Overall, highly
recommended.

This hotel was within walking distance of almost everything to see in downtown
Seattle. If you're not a "walker", there's the monorail at the Space Needle and
the Public buses are at almost every corner. When my Wife and I return to
Seattle, we will definitely stay at this hotel. Best deal for the money, too! |
