We stayed in a two bedroom suite here in October 2009. The room was perfect for
us: updated, very clean, spacious, quiet and well-equipped. Our kids especially
enjoyed the pool, hot-tub and buffet breakfast (waffle maker)! It was our first
visit to Seattle and perhaps the hotel was a little further from downtown than I
would have liked but close to Lake Union which was lovely. Walking to get to the
Space Needle and EMP/Science Fiction takes one along a very busy motorway and
bit of a dodgy area-- better to take the streetcar and monorail to get there.
The pool had a LOT of chlorine. All in all, very spacious and convenient
accommodation for family travel. Good family eats at Duke's across the street--
great view of harbour, kids menu and decent food.

this hotel was amazing.
i cannot get over how incredible the staff were, i had so many questions and
they managed to answer all of them.
they were all really friendly too!
the rooms were large, and clean, the bed was so comfortable and it was so nice
to be able to cook for myself!
the location was great, streetcar and buses at the doorstep!
it was such a great hotel, it was the newest hotel i stayed at on my trip, and i
was a bit sad because it lacked character, but the staff made up for it!
did i mention how great the staff were?
We went on a vacation to Seattle with our 21 and 22 year old kids. It was the
ideal place to go. Our son is very into music and the Jazz scene in Seattle was
fantastic. Our lunch in the restaurant at the top of the Space Needle was one of
the highlights of our trip. The underground tour was educational.

We stayed at the Residence Inn right on the lake. We has a 2 bedroom suite which
worked out fantastic. Breakfast each day was included and the front desk went
beyond the norm to make sure our trip was enjoyable.
Pike Place Market had something for everyone and was a great place for people
watching.
If you have older kids, I highly recommend Seattle as a vacation destination.

Traveled to the Residence Inn over Labour Day week-end and I continue to be
amazed at what a great job they do. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished.
They serve a free complete breakfast every day to a whole lot of folks
(particularly on a week-end such as Labour Day). This Residence Inn has plenty
of places to sit for breakfast which is much appreciated. I stay at this
property about 6-7 times a year and am always pleasantly surprised when they
remember me, what room I like, etc. The beds are comfortable, nice full kitchen
set up, good lighting, good work space and the local streetcar makes a stop
right out in front which then will take you right into downtown for only $1.25
or 25cents for seniors. That is a bargain!! Staff is knowledgeable on sights and
attractions around the city. |

Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband on our first visit to Seattle. Very
nice hotel, helpful staff, decent breakfast (I passed on the hot food, but it
was great to be able to grab a muffin/fruit/yogurt before heading out each day).
Location was great for us, however, we don't mind taking public transportation
or doing a little walking. The streetcar and bus pick up right outside and will
take you most anywhere you need to go. |

Hotel is in a great location regardless of what people will say. Great
restaurant across the street - Chandlers. Ask for outdoor seating especially
when its nice and sunny out! Hotel staff was awesome, no complaints. Would
highly recommend this place to everyone. However, it is a hike to downtown area,
but use the streetcar and it will take to to downtown for like $2 for 2 hours.
Also great breakfast joint nearby with streetcar. Can't remember the name but
hotel recommended it. Rooms were spacious, decor was okay, not much of a view
from balcony. If you need to stay in Seattle, stay here!! Only complaint is the
price you pay for parking. Its absurd for parking your car there. But sometimes
you can't help it. |

We stayed at this hotel for one night before our Alaska cruise. I chose it
because we had 4 adults and this hotel had a separate bedroom. (It also had a
kitchen, but that wasn't important to us.)
It exceeded our every expectation! The rooms were georgeous -- beautifully
decorated in trendy, contemporary themes, king bed, 2 large flat panel TVs,
granite countertops, etc. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was better than
any continental breakfast I've had.
It was a bit away from the usual tourist attractions, but a quick taxi ride. The
street car line is also close by. |

Marriott's Residence Inns seldom disappoint. This hotel was in a nice location
away from downtown but with public transportation that takes you straightaway
there. It is across the street from the lake with a multitude of restaurants. We
were upgraded to a 2 bedroom because we had two dogs - how considerate and
accommodating! Service was great, free hot breakfast was great, our room with
full kitchen was great, the surroundings were great, the price was great. We
stayed at the Residence Inn in Portland last summer and found all the same
wonderful qualities: GREAT! |

My wife and I stayed here during our first trip to Seattle. We have stayed at
other Residence Inns around the east coast and this one did not disappoint. As a
matter of fact it was better than we expected!
Everyone at the front desk was super friendly and the hotel was very clean. It
was located out of the main downtown area but close enough to get there. It only
took us about 5 minutes to get to the main waterfront by car.
The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable (which is important to
us). Another important fact was it was super quiet. No noise from the outside
(traffic) or from the inside (hallway or other rooms). The bathroom was very
clean and well laid out.
The breakfast buffet was nice, which was pretty basic for a Residence Inn. We
did not partake in the managers reception on Wednesday, but it looked nice.
The only negative comment is you have to pay for parking (which you have to
anywhere in Seattle), but the parking is under the hotel, which I assume would
be owned by the hotel. The parking was $19 a day, plus a $3 tax on top of that
(which we did not know about).
There are several restaurants around the hotel, which were pretty pricey. There
is an Outback down the street and a Buca di Beppo next to it (so good!).
All I can say is when I go back to Seattle I will stay here! |
