Hotel Review of the Seattle University Travelodge

We decided to travel to the states and upon our journey realized a lot of hotels
were booked out. It was getting on 11pm, so we contacted the hotel and got
availability. The hotel is in a good location, beside a lot of great shops. The
hotel itself seems a bit dated. Front staff was decent enough (being it 12:30AM
by the time we got there). Got keys and into room. Room was a bit small but
okay. We are used to staying in all sorts of hotels, this one was clean.
Mattress was comfy and bathroom though a bit small, shower was nice and
spacious. There is a hot/pool outside but it looked like it had a bit of
scummy/yucky stuff on top. ugh..Free wi-fi, continental breakfast was decent
enough. Cold cereals, muffins, yogourt and bars. Kept us going for most of the
morning.
Decent enough to just sleep in...don't expect too much more!Hotel Review of the Seattle University Travelodge

A while ago I wrote a review titled SOME GOOD, SOME BAD. When I was checking
out, I had a long conversation with the manager about the concerns I mentioned
in the review. The manager was very receptive to my concerns and I feel that she
took them seriously. I believe that she will be acting on some/all of the things
we talked about.
As I was checking out, I was pleased to find out that there was no charge for
printing my boarding pass. Also, I wanted to highlight the fact that --
throughout our stay -- the manager and the staff were extremely helpful and
friendly! |

Overall, the staff was great and, for us, the location was perfect. We stayed in
a room for two nights and then moved to a suite. The room was clean, but the
suite was not super clean. During the week, it was very quiet, but noise was
definitely a problem in the suite on the weekends. Sounds -- even voices -- are
easily heard from the room above and the rooms on the sides. One weekend night
there was a very loud party going on next door. We called the front desk, but it
didn't appear that the front desk clerk did anything because the noise level did
not change. I was disappointed that the pool was never open during our stay.
It's hard for me to answer the question "would you recommend this hotel to a
friend?" We got a monthly rate on the suite, so I believe (despite the problem
listed above) it was a good deal for us. I don't think that the suites are worth
the price one has to pay is one only stays one or two nights. |

Great location and a great price. It is an older hotel undergoing
renovation/updating but the rooms were adequate and very clean. Cannot stand
spending 150-200/night for rooms, I think it's money better spend elsewhere, so
this was fantastic! |

I am not sure if there was a change in management and/or owners but the changes
that have been made have made a huge positive difference in this hotel. The
outside landscaping is beautiful and the hallways look brand new. The staff is
very helpful and friendly and always had a positive attitude.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location with fancy shopping center across
the street & good eateries close by. We enjoyed our talks with staff & felt they
went the extra mile when necessary. |

I've been there for 4 days in order to visit Seattle. It is far from Seattle
downtown and parking is expensive there, so that I recommend to choose another
hotel to visit the city.
The swimming pool of the motel is very big and the spa is also perfect to relax
after a long day walking around Seattle. Rooms are big and clean, however it is
a little bit old and breakfast is not too good... In my opinion the motel is a
little bit expensive for what the offer |

Kind of crummy, but the people were nice. The hot tub was good and free parking
was a plus. Across the street was the University Village shopping center which
was convenient for things to do, places to eat. |

When we checked in, the room door was wide open & someone had obviously laid on
top of one of the beds...??? Hotel personnel were nice & offered to check the
room. Proximity to UW campus is biggest attraction. If you are waiting for your
son/daughter during campus visit, orientation, registration at UW etc,
convenience to campus & shopping can’t be beat. |
