would highly recommend this inn. the price was great, the room was great, the
location was great, and the breakfast was the best we've ever had in an inn or
hotel. david at the front desk was most accomodating and overall we would
recommend this inn very highly.

The only bad thing about the hotel is how hard it is to actually find the
entrance. Signage is so discreet that it is possible to ride up and down
elevators and circle the block, looking for the entrance. However, that aside,
it really is a great hotel right across the street from the Seattle Art Museum
and quick walk to Pike Place Market. We walked to Purple and to Wild Ginger
also. The room itself, with two queen beds, has a staggered layout so it is not
possible to see one bed from the other. The bathroom looked as if it was about
to be updated (spackle on the wall) and that would be good because the tub
drained slowly and the shower was not strong. Minor things for a great location.

My husband and I went for a romantic get-a-way to Seattle for 2 days. This hotel
was absolutely perfect. The wine/coffee/tea in the afternoons was fantastic,
Veggies, fruit, cheese and crackers and dessert. The first night we missed it
and the next morning at breakfast the chef gave us cake to try. The breakfast
was homemade quiche, hashbrowns, pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, bread, fruit,
juices, coffee and tea. Was very filling and very fresh. The first morning we
ate with other guests and the second we ate in our room. The rooms were
beautiful. The fireplace was so nice and romantic. The courtyard was also
beautiful. We visited the Seattle Art museum (steps away), Pioneer Square, Pike
Place market and much of downtown Seattle. The desk help was exceptional and
answered every question we had with professionalism. Would definitely go again.

The Inn at Harbor Steps, right across from the Seattle Art Museum on 1st Avenue,
is a bit quirky as it is part hotel and part apartment complex. That said, it’s
a great choice if you are traveling to Seattle on business. The rooms are large
and comfortable - each has a working gas fireplace and an enormous bathroom. The
Inn offers a full complimentary breakfast in the morning, and wine and snacks in
the evening. Guests can use the health club facilities in the building and there
is a library, which makes a great work space. The location is close to
everything in downtown Seattle and the staff is friendly and helpful. Do note
that while there is free internet service in the room, it isn’t wireless.

We stayed here to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, and the room was very nice and
comfortable, but the location we great. You're right across the street from the
Seattle Art Museum (SAM), and a few blocks south of Pike Place. The room itself
was large and well situated - and the bath soaps/amenities were amazing. But, as
other reviews have mentioned, little things in the bathroom were off - the
laminate trim was missing on part of the cabinet and the faucets were loose (not
enough to be a problem, but for the price that should be fixed). The wine and
cheese were a nice treat, and surprisingly the complimentary breakfast was quite
good. They had a chef there that could make hot egg dishes for you, and the
selection was fine.

I chose the Inn at Harbor steps for it's location for a trip to Vancouver Island
and the Olympic peninsula coming from Germany. We arrived early in the evening,
and we were stunned when we saw, how big the room actually was. It was only for
one night, so we took our spare baggage to the reception, we had to leave quite
early the next morning, so we could not taste the breakfast. When we came back
two weeks later, the baggage, we had left here, was already brought to our
room...( never experienced anything like that before!) The breakfast really has
a nice touch, not the "anywhere the same" breakfast., although my husband missed
some ham or meaty stuff... the location is absolutely perfect, just minutes from
that wonderful market, across the street from the Art Gallery... , the Aquarium,
shops, Pioneer Square...
A nice touch is also the free lemonade on the reception counter and the cookies.
Not bad, when you come from an intercontinental flight, I am always drained out
and a welcoming sip of refreshment is a nice touch!.
What I also did like was a small questionnaire, where we were asked for an
outstanding service experienced at other hotels....
I daresay that few other hotels of this kind and price range offer better
service..!!!
We would definitely come back!!!

Just returned from Seattle. Wonderful time. The location of the Inn is perfect.
We were able to walk almost everywhere. Were able to stop back to drop off
packages or enjoy the wine/snacks before heading off to dinner. Everyone on
staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious. We will definitely return
to the Inn.

Stayed in king Spa room but didn't have time to use spa!! Walked to Pikes'
Market and top local restaurants. Need to ask which hill to come down instead of
walking up. A little street noise in morning and bed was firm. Afternoon
tea/wine tasting a big plus while the morning breakfast was great. It has
everything from hot egg dishes to oatmeal to yogurt, fresh fruit and breads in
between. Rented limo for wine tasting and had excellent time at Columbia

Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Large, clean, pretty room complete with fireplace.
Wonderful pillows.
Loved the door to the balcony which could be left open at the top for fresh air.
Bathroom has everything you need.
Plenty to choose from, both hot and cold, at breakfast and very tasty.
Within walking distance to tourist attractions and on the bus line for others. Hotel Review of the Inn at Harbor Steps Seattle

We stayed a couple days prior to an Alaska cruise. Location is down the street
to Pike Market. We like to walk so fairly easy to get around. Bus is also
available to tour city a couple of blocks away. Room is actually in the lower
level, like a walk out basement. A bit outdated. Wine and cheese is served in
the PM. Wine was served in a carafe so you don’t know what you are getting;
tasted like jug wine. Lots of great wine in Washington so if you like fine wine
buy your own. Breakfast okay. Oatmeal was weird. We would not stay there again.
P.S. Eat at the Flying Fish food is awesome and the wine list not bad either. |
