Title says it all. Around the corner from a Starbucks, walking distance to the
Space Needle and the monorail to downtown -- place was really perfect for a
relatively economical visit to Seattle. I have stayed in much fancier hotels but
this was perfectly fine in every way.

I've stayed her numerous times for various reasons...Pacific Science Center
visit and Sonics basketball game at Key Arena with the family, with my wife for
meetings at the UW, and most often for the annual Thunderbirds hockey night with
the guys. My next stay will be in May when I have to attend a meeting at the UW.
The rates are very reasonable, and the rooms are fairly spacious and well
equipped. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, free internet access...
I've stayed in the Double (non-suite) room, the Double mini-suite, the King
mini-suite and the two-bedroom Suite. Different levels of space for various
needs. I've had four people in my King Mini-Suite before and after a hockey
match and it was very comfortable as far as seating and space.
The continental breakfast isn't bad, but not really for those who want to limit
their carbohydrate intake. :-) Fruit, salad, rolls, bagels, waffles, yogurt,
toast...not bad for the standard "free" breakfast. The eating area probably
seats 25 or so, with additional space in the lobby, so it was never crowded.
For food there are some restaurants a few blocks away on Roy and Mercer Streets.
If you want quick food there is the Food Court at the Seattle Center. If you
never had a Dick's burger you need to walk the ten blocks or so to the nearest
Dick's Drive In:

After booking this hotel online I was worried after reading all of the reviews!
Actually the hotel is in a great location, hotel staff was very nice and
accommodating, the breakfast wasn't bad, and the underground parking ROCKED!!!
It is within walking distance from the space needle and there is a 24-hr QFC
(grocery store) one block away. I would highly recommend this place to those who
are looking for a great deal in a great location.

Stayed for 1 night to attend a concert at the Key Arena. Front desk staff very
helpful in giving us walking directions for both the Outback Steakhouse and the
Key Arena. There is a big grocery store 3 blocks away which is nice to pick up
snacks etc. Small fridge in room we used. Free parking which was a big plus
since most hotels in the area charge for parking. Breakfast was included so nice
we didn't have to find anywhere else to go first thing in the morning. Will
definitely stay there again to attend functions at the Key Arena.

The Comfort Suites is located in the Seattle Center/Queen Anne district of
Seattle. During our stay we comfortably walked from this location all over
Seattle.
Even though the Comfort Suites offer a complimentary breakfast - be sure to
check out Citizen Coffee around the corner. This was one of our favourite things
about Seattle, and we wouldn't have found it had we stayed elsewhere. It was
great to have the QFC Supermarket open 24 hours on Mercer Street. We were able
to buy cheap meals and then eat them in our spacious room, which had a view of
the space needle.
The staff were friendly, and happy to help with directions and organising
transport. And, they offered a business center with free Internet.
Ah, Seattle.. I wish I stayed longer!

I am the Front Desk Supervisor for the Quality Inn Valley Suites in Spokane
Valley, Wa. I know exactly how a good, clean hotel should be ran. I see the
little things that the average traveller might not see. This hotel is ABSOLUTELY
GREAT. With a very sceptical eye, I looked around the property and watched the
staff. I quickly felt right at home and I knew this was a very nice hotel, just
like mine! This hotel is beautiful and they should be very proud of it!
When looking for a hotel, I wanted a good location. This hotel is of course
right downtown and, with MapQuest's help, it was quite easy to find. It is very
close to the Seattle Center area and only minutes away from freeway access.
There is a convenient 24hr QFC grocery store just 2 blocks away. It was great to
stock up before heading back home and for a late night bite to eat. My
girlfriend and I were happy to find out that we were only minutes away from
Queen Anne and the trendy little shops there! We did not eat the hotel breakfast
in the morning because we wanted to eat at Noah's Bagels instead. Nothing
against the hotel's breakfast but seem as how I work at a similar hotel, I've
had the same food a hundred times before. I'm sure it's great! Hopefully next
time I'll get to try it! Judging by the pictures, it seemed very nice, plentiful
and the seating area was huge!!
The staff service was perfect and I was very impressed!! Ryan helped us out
twice finding fun stuff to do. He also checked us in. He is this hotel's F.D.
Supervisor and I know why! He was so nice and professional. Thanks Ryan! Our
room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. It's very nice and it looked even
better than the pictures on the internet! It was very very clean and smelled
great. The beds were super comfy and we slept like babies! I have only very
minor suggestions for our room. In my opinion, the room decor is a little boring
- I wished for wamer, more romantic / soothing colors. But don't get me wrong,
it's very nice and it's much much better than most hotels I've seen! We were on
the first floor and flourescent light outside our window bothered us a little
bit. The room was never really very dark. It seemed to be almost like daylight
outside our window when it was midnight. We could see into the street and there
is no way to close the curtains fully. The sheer curtains just aren't enough to
have perfect privacy. We took a walk around outside our room and looked in. We
were pleased to see it's virtually impossible for anyone on the street to see
in. Still, I'd like the larger curtains to close too. No problem though, I'll
request an upper floor next time. Why so few television channels? I was very
suprised to find no History Channel, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, etc.
It's mostly basic news channels and a couple movie channels. Kids would be
pretty bored... That said, the Olympics entertained us and they are just boring
enough to fall asleep to. And we really didn't spend enough time in our room to
justify a ton of channels anyway.
We had a GREAT time in Seattle. This mini vacation was exactly what we needed to
recharge our batteries. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone coming
to the Seattle area! It's convenient, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The
staff, especially the front desk, is so nice! It's amazing I could only find
minor things to suggest. You guys do an awesome job! Keep it up! Anytime I am in
the area, I am sure to return to this hotel. If you're coming to Spokane, be
sure to look me up. Thanks for everything!

I was here for 2 nights while on business in Seattle. I was concerned about the
location but it was actually great - safe and convenient.
The room was very comfortable, good wi fi, fridge, micro, comfy bed, good work
space.
The (FREE!!) parking is located under the building - don't try to bring your big
SUV - the clearance is really low. And the parking spaces are super small. I did
appreciate the security of having to use your room key to enter the garage.
I ran into the same situation as a previous reviewer - unless you are really
patient and like a lot of noise - plan on having breakfast elsewhere. Too many
people, not enough food or room to eat. I did find a fantastic option for
breakfast nearby.
Finally, I wasn't impressed with the front desk staff. I found the woman that
checked me in to be really unfriendly and not helpful. I would have appreciated
some info about the surrounding area but she didn't welcome further
conversation. I didn't find out about the grocery around the corner until I was
leaving town! Overall - good sleep, safe, comfortable and good price. |
