I got the hotel room for a great price, using on online discount site. The staff
was very helpful and friendly. There was a working fireplace and some
comfortable chairs in the lobby. The king size bed had a pillow top, and on the
bed was a pretty bag with lavender linen spray, ear plugs & face mask. The room
included a safe, desk and office-type chair, plasma TV, nice quality ice bucket,
coffee maker, CD player/radio/alarm clock. The heater was a bit loud, but I was
so tired that I didn't notice it after a while. The bathroom included a
clothesline, hair drier, nice shower head, magnifying mirror, night light, and
great smelling shampoo, conditioner & lotion (not too masculine or feminine).
There was a note on the big mirror saying that if you forgot to bring anything,
such as toothpaste, comb or whatever, that they would bring you a complimentary
replacement. The toilet was too low. I felt like I was going to fall into it
every time I used it. The closet had an iron & ironing board, wooden clothes
hangers and extra pillows. The room seemed large, and was very quiet (when the
heater wasn't running!). It was a little bit of an uphill hike from the Westlake
Mall, but it would probably be a lot easier to get to via cab or car. It's a
shame that my room didn't have a little refrigerator. I had a great stay at that
hotel, and wish I could have stayed there longer. I didn't use the valet
parking, room service or wi-fi, so I can't comment on that.

Our room was upgraded to the 31 floor so great views over the city and
convenient location and you get the benefit of being able to use the lounge for
snacks in the evening and a light breakfast. Rooms are standard hotel type but
clean and comfortable , beds very comfortable, heater/aircon can be a bit noisy,
large flat screen TV. Happy hour in the bar early evening is good value. The big
problem is you are in downtown Seattle and car parking is very expensive hotel
valet parking gets close to $40 per night. On a Saturday / Sunday night you can
park for free on the street if you can find a space and some local car parks are
cheaper if you are prepared to walk. Hotel is very convenient for downtown, and
lot of choice locally to eat and drink. Just the normal mid range hotel problems
of $10/ day Internet and expensive hotel phone if you use.

We just returned from a 3 night stay here, and thought the hotel was great.
Perfect location, everything was within a 10-15 minute walk, and there were
loads of restaurants/shops etc right outside the front door. We were upgraded to
a suit with an amazing view out the bedroom and living room windows (room 2656).
The rooms were a great size, bed was super comfy, good bathroom. We didn't order
any room service or try out the restaurant/bar. Staff were all really friendly
and helpful. I'd definitely stay at this hotel againNov 29, 2009
I stayed here for twp nights in November while traveling on business. The rooms
were clean and very quiet and the wifi worked well. On the 16th floor, the views
were nice with large windows. The lobby was very basic but there is a gift shop
to buy basics and they have free umbrellas for the typical weather and you can
print your airline boarding passes. You can walk to about 10 Starbucks and to
Pikes Market and major shopping and restaurants on the water (Elliott's was
good). The only downside was the parking which was valet only and expensive and
not much else nearby. The hotel is convenient near the freeway too and not too
far from the airport. The exercise room was minimal with a few machines.

We have just returned from a four night stay at this hotel in downtown Seattle.
This hotel is an excellent choice for any stay in Seattle. We have been to this
city three times and would highly recommend that anyone stay here. The staff is
extremely accomodating and pleasant. We stayed on the 29th floor which included
the breakfast and appetizers in the evening which is well worth the extra money!
The room was very clean and spacious. Ask to face the space needle which also
gave us parital ocean view. The location could not be better especially as far
as the shopping goes and downtown tourist attractions.
We will definitely return. Hats off to the wonderful staff!

We got a room at this hotel through this site. I read the reviews, got worried,
and didn't know what to expect. When we got there at 1PM we got checked in right
away into a lovely non-smoking room with a king sized bed. The room was clean,
staff were friendly, and the food was great. The location is ideal as well. The
only downside was the parking (as almost everyone says). It was almost double
every other hotel's parking fee at $37.50 per night.....we were not very
impressed with that. I will stay there again but will try and figure out another
place to park.

Before I got to the hotel, I called from home and asked if I would be able to
park my rental car. They said valet was available for $32 a day but that I could
easily find street parking. There was no street parking, so valet here I come.
The desk staff was friendly. The room was freezing cold and I could not find an
electrical outlet without unplugging my laptop. Then I found a power strip
nailed to the back side of the dresser. Then when I went outside to get my car
to go to dinner, the valets were playing catch with a football on Seneca Street
and the ball actually hit my car when we pulled out. Oh well, I am a good sport
and it was a nerf.
Then, this morning, I showed up at the restaurant on the second floor for
breakfast at 6:10 and it was deserted. The sign says it opens at six. I really
needed a coffee and breakfast. Coming from an eastern time zone, it was 8 am to
me. I did not have breakfast.
The room was dated.
Just too many little things went wrong... But the price was very good-- only
$118 for a Sunday night.

We checked in early around 2pm. on Thursday Sep. 10, the day before our cruise
to Alaska. The clerk (rookie?) gave us a small folder with all our coupons and
paperwork for room 2353. So, we wait for the elevator and up to our room. But
she forgot to put the key cards with the rest of the stuff. Back down to
retrieve them. The room had a view and noise of the freeway next to us. The room
seemed a lot smaller than the last Crowne Plaza (Houston) that we stayed at,
though. And not as nice. The room was ok for the night. We paid $173 plus tax
($199.99 total) for the cruise package. This included the room, 2 breakfast
buffets, and 2 shuttle tickets to the cruise terminal. Celebrity left from the
Bell Pier, which the shuttle goes to on the 1/2 hour. (On the hour it goes to
the other pier.) We left CP after 11:30 and got to ship around noon, when
everyone else did. What a mess! We had asked the bell hop about leaving at
10:30, and he told us that was too early. Big mistake. We had planned on
checking back in at CP after the cruise. But decided to leave Seattle when the
ship docked, and stop in Las Vegas for the weekend. We had flown SW Airlines
from Austin to Seattle, so it was easy to change. Thanks SWA. I am a Priority
Club Member and thought we would get upgraded to a room with a nice view. Silly
me! They didn't even greet me as PCM. Oh well Las Vegas was fun. |

We were heading to a Mariner's game, and this appeared to be one of the only
places with rooms available that didn't cost an arm and a leg. We booked a room
with a king size bed, for one night...the cost was just over $200 (American),
not including $32 dollar valet service (the only option for parking there).
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly front desk worker
(Silver), who told us she could offer us a lower rate if we switched rooms. The
room being offered was one of the big suites on the 34th (top) floor. The only
catch was that the bed was actually two small roller style beds, pushed
together. After going to check out the room, we decided to go for it (the rate
was amazing, about $88 dollars for the night). Plus, Silver threw in
complimentary appetizers, continental breakfast, and agreed to waive our valet
parking rate.
It took about 15-20 minutes to walk from the hotel to Safeco Stadium (the walk
on the way there is mostly downhill). We were warned about walking through the
Pioneer Square area at night on the way back (it's sort of a party place), but
it was fine.
All in all, the hotel provided a decent home base for our one night stay -- and
we were very pleased with the friendly & thoughtful service at the front desk. I
might have actually ranked them "average" instead of "very good" if not for the
service. By the way, the roller beds weren't bad at all -- maybe not as
comfortable as a regular bed, but we still got a good night's sleep. Plus, the
view was great! Not a bad option if you're in town for a game. |

I only spent one night at the GH Seattle. The hotel location was ok, not in the
'heart' of the tiny city, but good enough to get around to all the touristy
areas. The room was good - good space, but the central air/heat was a bit noisy
and you have to manually control it, as the thermostat doesn't seem to work or
there isn't one. The staff is good and very helpful. I would stay here again and
definitely recommend it to others. Clean rooms, good showers - even though I
notice the bathroom amenities are below the basics.....just ask for what you
need though. |

We stayed for 3 nights at the Crowne Plaza in February 2009. We were upgraded on
arrival and the room we were given was lovely. It was nice, clean and spacious.
The location of the hotel was great. It was a short walk to downtown Seattle,
pike market and the space needle monorail station.
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. We would recommend the
Brooklyn (great steak) and Wild Ginger restaurants which are both just a short
walk. |

The room was huge and very clean. Everything we could want was there. The price
was great on Hotwire. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Happy hour
specials in the bar were very reasonable - we made a meal of two of them. I have
no complaints aside from the exorbitant price for parking - we used a private
lot as we didn't need in and out privileges and were just leaving the vehicle in
the garage. We saved quite a bit this way.

I only stayed here for one night. The view from my cavernous room on the 28th
floor was nearly breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable and I slept very
well. This is what you expect when you book a 4 star hotel!
Not much more to say since I was only there for one night ........the location
was good for Seattle as long as you don't mind walking up the very steep hill
from the water. |

We loved the Crown Plaza!!! This hotel offered everything we needed. A clean,
quiet place to stay in an Excellent location. The Crown Plaza is only a few
blocks from the famous Pikes Place Market & Puget Sound and about a 10 minute
walk from the Space Needle. We read a mixed reviews, both good and bad. However,
we are fairly laid back travelers who have stayed in 3 star hotels all around
the world and decided to give it a tryThe room was comfy with a king size
bed, clean sheets & towels, a desk and a large flat screen TV. They even
provided a "goodie bag" with a relaxation CD to listen to. Keep in mind this is
a 3 star hotel and we booked an "economy" room (meaning no mini-fridge or safe)
but if you are here to see Seattle & not really spend time much time in your
room--it will be perfect for you. (Note: There was a small water stain on the
ceiling but other than that we found absolutely no issues.) If you are looking
for a 4 or 5 star hotel, this is not the place for you. Also, we read over and
over again that the elevators are slow but found no issue with them.
There is a fitness center and business center located on the 5th floor. The
fitness center is free and the business center costs $5 to use the internet and
.25 cents to print documents. You can also purchase wireless internet in your
room for $9.95 a day or for $40 per week if you brought your laptop. Parking is
also available for $30, however we did not rent a car. We used only public
transportation or walked. Also, we didn't bother eating at the restaurant
downstairs because there are plenty of other restaurants and cafes within
walking distance (especially at Pikes Place).
We couldn't have been happier at the Crown Plaza & we hope you enjoy it as much
as we did. |

I think that it is ironic that a hotel would try to emphasize the importance of
a good sleep when they have such terribly thin walls. On our first night, our
neighbors kept us up with their loud conversations and then woke us up early at
5:00. I asked for and received a different room, but it was no different. We
could still hear the people next door, although they weren't as bad with their
hours. The rest of the hotel is fine and we found the service to be good, but it
can't really make up the difference for this poor experience.

Had corner king size room, spacious with good views (could see Space Needle),
although some of the other rooms sounded smaller. Comfortable bed, and nice
touches with relaxation CD, aromatherapy oil and tips for getting good nights
sleep! Overall, for a large hotel, good facilities but not much
character......did enjoy my stay though. |

The hotel is a nice hotel. The staff were all great. We liked our room, the view
and the little kit of sleeping aids they put on the bed. What sent us through
the roof in anger was the $30 plus tax parking fees. We only paid $64 for the
darn room!! We booked on Priceline and requested a 2 1/2 star hotel in an effort
to avoid these upscale places that charge so much for parking. Priceline
"upgraded" us to the Crowne Plaza. I'm wondering if they get a kickback for the
parking fees. Thanks for letting me vent. |
