The Grand Hyatt is truly on of the best hotels I have stayed at...and I have
stayed at The Trump! My room was very large and so comfortable. Large bathroom
that was so clean and nicely stocked. Very professional and helpful staff. Great
room service...especially the Corned Beef Hash for breakfast. Wonderful hotel !

We've stayed at the Seattle Grand Hyatt several times now ... & we just keep
coming back! It has so many pluses, it's hard to remember them all.
First of all, it's easy to get to & when you pull up to their door, you are
greeted by friendly, helpful staff. A doorman takes your bag & helps you to the
desk, and a valet takes your car keys. The lobby is nothing special & I'm sorry
to admit that neither is the bar or restaurant, Ruth Chris. I mean, they aren't
bad ... they just aren't extraordinary, either.
Why do I keep going back? Great location -- in the heart of downtown, surrounded
by fabulous shopping, restaurants, nightlife, the Convention Ctr, an incredible
day spa, concert hall, theatres. And the rooms and bathrooms? The best in
Seattle. The bathrooms are incredible. Marble, granite, soaking tubs, large
separate showers, plush robes, wonderful lighting. The space is simply amazing,
inviting, plush, elegant. The entry doors are the most beautiful wood ... & the
rooms actually have doorbells. I had to chuckle w/ that amenity.
The beds are quite comfortable, the linens fine, the draperies are electric. So
you can open the drapes in the morning to see the sunrise without leaving your
bed (I chuckled at that one, too!). Large picture windows & some rooms have
spectacular views over the sound.
This hotel is simply wonderful & the one time the reservation was screwed up (we
booked it online, the hotel's website), they bent over backwards to make it
right. If you're looking for a great hotel in downtown, this is it.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst at a conference at the hotel. I must say the
level of service is beyond what I usually experience in the US. All the staff
are genuninely pleasant and seem very willing to go the extra mile. The rooms
are extremely well appointed. A test I usually apply to seperate the great
hotels from the average ones is if there is shower gel provided in the bathroom.
And there was! Along with toothpaste in every room! I slept incredibly well on
the large comfy bed. The best experience however was the food for the
conference. It was superb. Very varied and very, very welll cooked / presented.
Only gripes were that the desk in the bedroom had no easy to use power socket
and they charged me $15 to use the 'business center' to print of 4 reports.
However at $180 a night this place was an absolute bargain (conference rate). I
would not hesitate coming back here for pleasure or business. The onsite
Starbucks was a bonus as was the small NYC cafe (cheaper than the hotel
breakfast). I didnt use the ruth and chris steakhouse but it looked very good.
All in all 5 star.

Service is top notch at this establishment as well as the rooms. I have stayed
in their basic room overlooking the roof of another building, as well as a room
that was a suite, on an upper floor that overlooks the entire city. In all of
the rooms I have stayed in the bathroom has been the same...excellent! The
shower has a glass surrounding door. If you like to take baths, there is a
soaking tub on the other side of the bathroom. The company I work for used this
hotel to host one of our meetings last year. A lot of the same staff was still
there this year, when we utilized them again, ready to take care of our every
need. The location is great too if you are in town to shop or enjoy the
nightlife. You can walk to a lot of Seattle Hot Spots. There are a couple of
restaurants on site and most importantly a "Starbucks" which I loved!
As with any downtown hotel you will have to wait for your car in valet, but in
my experience, they will have it to you, within 10 minutes tops! Fabulous hotel!

I stayed here for 5 nights in Nov 2009 during a business trip/conference, and I
must say that it is a beautiful hotel! The bathrooms were to die for -- very
spacious with a glass shower and a huge soaking tub. All of the bathroom
amenities were top notch...thick towels, fragrant soap/shampoos, a plush
robe...no detail was overlooked.
I had a room with 2 double beds on one of the upper floors. I didn't have the
best view, but I didn't spend that much time in my room, so it didn't really
matter. The bed was spectacular, very comfortable with lots of pillows.
The location was fantastic. It was short walk to most Seattle attractions --
Pike's Place Market, the harbor area --- and a quick cab or monorail ride to the
Space Needle. Many good restaurants were also within walking distance.
It would have been nice to have a slightly less pricey restaurant associated
with the hotel -- we never did dine at Ruth Chris' Steakhouse. We also had a
continental breakfast provided each morning at the conference, so I didn't
actually dine at the restaurant for breakfast either. A Starbucks was attached
to the hotel, so getting my morning caffeine was never a problem.
The only thing I would comment on as a negative was the outrageous price to park
at the hotel. With taxes and other fees, it came to around $40 per night. (I was
also charged $5 for the hotel having to accept a Fed Ex package for me...what's
that all about?) Other than that, the hotel was very comfortable and nicely
appointed.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 3 nights during a business/leisure trip. Its
proximity to shops is unbeatable. I; however, find that Seattle has better
hotels for me and therefore I may never stay at Hyatt again. Its lack of proper
lobby and lounge is something you will notice as soon as you arrive. If you want
to have a coffee or drink in the evening, the lounge is non-existent. There is
nothing inside the hotel. They tell you to order room service instead. There is
a steakhouse attached to the hotel if you want a full meat meal but that's it.
So, nice rooms, great location, weak amenities.

The room was beautiful, our dinner at Urbane was perfect. The next morning,
after a beautiful walk to the market, I dressed for a family wedding, putting on
an heirloom ring. After checking out, I noticed my ring had slipped off my
finger and was no where to be found. Pressed for time, I told the desk staff,
who were very responsive, but still I held out little hope, and was heartsick at
being so careless. Nine days later, I was informed that my ring had been turned
in by a very honest housekeeper. I wonder if there's anything that contributes
more to a hotel's success than quality staff-thank you Seattle Grand Hyatt!

When we first pulled up, the valet was ready to take your bags and the car. The
staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful. We had a corner
room with beautiful views. Ruth Chris is located in the hotel. Fantastic food
and we had a fantastic waiter. The hotel was spotless, the room was spotless and
it was a great stay. Just be aware of walking around at night. Pike's market is
a ghost town and we almost got mugged when we were there. Stay with the crowds.
All in all it was a great visit. Close to the ferry, close to needle and lots of
shops.

Grand Hyatt is truly an amazing place! Service is top notch; location is the
best (close to everything in Downtown!) and rooms are nicely appointed. Beds are
one of the most comfortable, and the gym and spa facilities are great! No wonder
why is rated one of the Top best hotels in Seattle.
We stayed there on our pre and post Alaskan Cruise, and really enjoyed a lot!

We had a corner suite on 23rd floor with views of bay and space needle. With the
floor to ceiling windows it was like being in a postcard, especially at night.
Staff was outstanding. Hotel is within walking distance of all downtown. If you
only have a carryon, take the light rail to and from the airport. It's $2.50 a
person and you get off at Westlake, 2 blocks from hotel. Best deal is happy hour
at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in the lobby. In the lounge you can get prime rib
sliders for $5.95, outstanding!! The reviewer who mentioned no carafe, the
coffee maker in the room is designed to just have the cup put below the spout so
it's brewed into your coffe cup. The only problem we had was solved without our
even asking. I ordered room service breakfast for myself and a carafe of coffee
for my wife, they we're a little late and my wife decided to go shopping instead
of wait for her coffee. I asked them to take the coffee back when my breakfast
arrived, then when I called to have them remove the room service table, they
told me they'd comped the whole breakfast since it was a little late. Great
service. |

I have stayed other Hyatt in US, but this hotel is far better than other Hyatt.
I know there are several Hyatt categories. But even comparing among Grand Hyatt,
this hotel is better than other Grand Hyatt. Especially bathroom. Very big with
separate shower and tub. Location is excellent as leisure tourists, I guess even
for business travellers. The only thing I was disappointed was no bar or
restaurant in a hotel. The only place to satisfy that is Ruth Chris Steak House
in a hotel which is a fancy restaurant. |

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt after going on an Alaskan NCL cruise.
The location of this hotel is the great thing about it, right in the heart of
the shopping area (Macys, Nordstroms, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Tiffanys, Old
Navy etc etc), also good restaurants are right on your doorstep, plus a couple
of cinemas.
Its quite a "businessy" hotel, with various conferences/seminars going on, but
this makes it a very stylish hotel.
There is a Ruths Chris Steak House in the hotel and we went for dinner one
night, great steaks in there (recommend blue cheese crusted one!). Also
Starbucks is located in the hotel too, useful for breakfast in morning.
Rooms are large and spacious, big flat screen TV, massive bed, coffee maker,
large bathroom with great bath and wierd modern taps! Views are pretty good if
you are on a high floor.
Monorail for Seattle space needle is just down the road, and Pike Place Market
within walking distance, we also visited the zoo and got the bus there which was
free. Ask concierge for bus stop info, its only couple of blocks away, No 5 bus
I think. Taxi would have been far more expensive.
We also went to see the Mariners play baseball, great experience, something you
have to do in America!!
Overall I would recommend this hotel for its great location and great rooms. |

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Grand Hyatt both Pre
and Post cruise to Alaska. Upon check-in the first night we were delighted to
find out we had been upgraded to a corner suite at no charge. The room was
great.
The real treat was on our return after the cruise we had booked an Emerald Suite
for the weekend. The room was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The Hyatt
heavenly beds were great along with the iPod Radio. Close to Space needle and a
short walk downhill to Pikes Market. Staff was pleasant and checked on us. I
would recommend to anyone going to Seattle. |

This hotel was wonderful. It was in a great location to where you could walk to
any major attraction downtown. The hotel was very clean and the prices were
extremly reasonable. I would for sure stay here again. |

Wonderful stay. Even tho' we were on vacation (therefore never "dressed up") the
staff, from bell hops, front desk, doormen, valet, etc. were the most courteous
and welcoming folks we've EVER encountered in any of our many travels, including
cruise ships. The level of training must be constant. The hotel is as grand as
the "Grand" in its name; and the location perfect, but the most impressive of
all was the unbelievable level of perceived warmth from everyone. Even tho' it
would be a financial 'stretch' we'd return in a heartbeat if ever in Seattle
again!
No pool, but incredible fitness center and Jacuzzi area

This hotel was absolutely fabulous. The staff was charming and extremely
helpful. The hotel is lovely and is a great location near shopping and Pike
Place Market. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were extraordinary!
Meeting rooms were well equipped, with a comfortable temperature and reasonable
seating. Even the conference food was good! Not your usual rubber chicken! |

I spent three very peaceful nights at the Grand Hyatt. The room was large and
extraordinarily clean. The bathroom had a large shower, and an inviting bathtub,
that looked like new. The in-room coffee was the best "hotel room" coffee I have
had in any hotel. And if you don't like the in-room coffee, a Starbucks is
located next to the lobby.
The bed and pillows were comfortable, but not as nice as the Marriott.
The location can't be beat. It is next to the Convention Center, and a short
walk to Pike Place and the Waterfront. Restaurants and shopping are near,
including Nordstrom's and Nordstrom's Rack, Macy's, Barnes & Noble, and
Coldwater Creek. A movie theater is across the street.
My favorite places to go include "Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe" at the Waterfront;
the Underground Tour; and of course, Pike Place, where the original Starbuck's
is located. If this is your first time to Seattle, I recommend the 3 hour city
tour. It is a great overview of the city, and they take you to beautiful places
for photos.
The downside of the hotel, for me, was a stark and unappealing lobby, no gift
shop for forgotten essentials, and no restaurant or bar area (however, Ruth's
Chris Steak House is attached to the hotel. Too pricy for me.) So bundling up
and going out in the freezing rain to get a cola or a snack was inconvenient. If
you stay at this hotel, be prepared with your own snacks. This is not a place
that would appeal to children. Overall, though, the staff went out of their way
to make me comfortable.
