Our rooms were nicer than I expected. I think we had brand new carpet which was
nice. The parking garage was way too small and shouldn't have cost extra. Great
location. Within walking distance to Seattle center. Much better than I expected
from the reviews I read. Pool was kind of small. Breakfast was great!

The rooms, hotel location, service and hot continental breakfast was great! but
their advertising is a bit deceiving and if you are going for the "extra's" go
somewhere else. The pool was small and quite cold; we paid an additional $10 a
nite for underground secure parking but our car was still broken into (although
the hotel did wave our fees for that night); the "gift shop" is a very small
corner with basically nothing but some chocolate bars and chips...just enough to
be able to say they have one :) oh and be careful to listen or read
carefully...we though we were getting a 2 bedroom suite but in fact it was a 2
bed room suite....no biggy for us but for someone else it may have been. It is a
super location, walking distance to the Space Needle, Children's Museum
etc...and about 20 minute walk to the harbour, Pikes Market, Aquarium etc. Enjoy
your stay!

The Hotel was clean & inviting. Parking is in a secure garage with room card key
access. Free breakfast was tremendous, but get there early or be ready to wait
in line to the buffet. Never enough room to sit and eat in the little dinning
area, so we always brought our plates back up to the room. Hotel is does not
have a bad view of the city sky line or of the water, no matter what room you
are assigned. So close to most attractions that walking & jumping on the
trolleys will save you the severe hassle of parking for Pikes Market, the Space
Needle, the wonderful City Center Restaurants on 1st Ave. Qwest Field and Safeco
Stadium are minutes away. The nights are cool, so request an extra blanket to
snuggle under when you sleep in.

My opinion of the hotel was just okay. The breakfast bar was okay. Not much
variety.
the bed was comfortable. The so called cable/satellite tv was a joke! Not very
good selection of tv channels at all! The shower was okay. But then i am very
picky when it comes to showers. So i have yet to find a shower in a hotel room
that meets my expectations. I am not sure if i would stay there again. It could
use some improvements.

We chose this hotel because of the familiarity of the brand and because there is
no charge for parking; the downside of that is that you have to drive to explore
Seattle, but it's only about 15 min. It is on Aurora Ave., so if you drive
another 5 min. you reach the Pike st. Market, the peers etc.
The only reason this is not a real 4* hotel (but it is for us!) is that it
doesn't a real closet, a safety deposit box and a true 'hot' breakfast. Oh, and
the location...
Otherwise, we had a great, big, clean room, two queen beds and a spotless
washroom (c/w all the toiletries) with a tub. A coffee maker. A writing desk
with an 'executive' chair.
The mattresses were very comfortable and the A/C efficient and not noisy.
The front office people were polite.
We plan to return again when we visit Seattle.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in October and were mostly pleased with the
hotel. The room we chose was a king suite with couch area, mini-fridge and
microwave. I liked that they had a bag of microwave popcorn in the room for you.
However, they don't have mugs in the room for coffee (only Styrofoam cups). I
had to heat my water for tea in the coffee maker since I wasn't sure about
microwaving the Styrofoam.
The bathroom is nice with one of those shower curtains that bows out away from
the shower to provide a little more space. The towels were nice and fluffy and
there were plenty of them. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. The
heater in the room worked wonderfully and was unexpectedly quiet for a hotel
unit. We stayed in a non-smoking room on the 2nd floor and didn't have any
problems with smoke or noise from other guests.
We ate the hot breakfast at the hotel every morning. There were cheese
omelettes, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, hard-boiled eggs, instant oatmeal,
yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. It wasn't too fancy,
but decent for an included breakfast. The breakfast room is fairly large and we
didn't have a problem finding a table each morning.
This hotel does include parking, but it is not near most of the sights in
Seattle. We chose the hotel for other reasons. This part of town is okay, but
not an area I would go walking in around at night. Staying closer to downtown
would probably be more expensive, though.
Overall, the hotel offered a good "Holiday Inn Express" experience and I would
stay here again. |
