Hotel Review of the Marriott Hotel Seattle Waterfront

We stayed here before our cruise (NCL-Pier 66) to Alaska. Rooms were the
usual-very clean and comfortable. Very close to Pike's Market-which was
enjoyable. We walked to the Space Needle also...must say that was a bit tougher
of a walk, but manageable. Ate dinner at the hotel on the patio. Nice ambiance,
food was good, but nothing to write home about. PS..Take the Duck Tour in
Seattle...we had a blast!

Stayed here on business with a very large group. Hotel had everything we needed.
Very clean, well kept, staff was very nice. Liked that the bar area was open and
had a lot of seating. Perfect that is it across the street from the convention
center. Road noise quieted all the way down at night. Didn't like being woken up
by the fog-horns of the boats, but safety first.

Cash a $50, extend my stay at the lower weekend rate, get into my room early,
park overnight on the street. Sure you can. I don't put too many demands on the
hotels I stay in. I kind of slip in and out anonymously on my own business. But
this Marriott Waterfront hotel was just right place and right time for my
combined business and recreational trip to Seattle. Conveniently located to
touristy stuff and a commercial section of town, it is also directly across the
street from the conference center in which my event was held. Yet I also rented
a car to tour the Kitsap Peninsula and made it back that night, parking free on
the street and enjoying the foodie options in the 'hood. The hotel itself was
upbeat, quiet, clean and obviously well-managed. I considered this a good value.

Hotel is in a great location. So close to Pikes Market, which is where I wanted
to spend my time. We had a great view of the water. The rooms are very clean and
spacious. Very nice tv w/ lots of channels. Happy to have a coffee maker and
small fridge and plenty of towels. It would be nice if they had free wi fi in
the rooms, but relaxing in the nice lobby, using the free internet there, was
good enough.
The front desk was very nice and eager to help us find good restaurants.
Having a small store in the lobby was nice, though paying $3.53 for a bottle of
water was not. But that's ok, I was on vacation. I did not eat at the hotel, use
the pool, or drive, so this is a short review!

I took my wife here and was quite happy. The rooms are beautiful and the lobby
is a good blend of trendy and relaxing. While we had a standard room that didn't
have a view, we could still see the waterfront from the side of window. We
enjoyed watching the ships go by. This is the only hotel I've stayed in where I
loved relaxing in the lobby, so much so, I didn't want to be in the room. We ate
breakfast at the hotel's "Bistro 2100 Bar" and the buffet was excellent.
Cons: The valet parking is not a good value and the offsite parking is a bit of
a walk. I also don't agree with charges for wi-fi as I think that should be a
free service for guests. My wife needed some band-aids and while they said they
were on there way up, they couldn't find them. It took an hour and a half but
they compensated with a free breakfast.
Pros: The room itself is an excellent value considering the downtown location.
The staff was very friendly and always trying to please.
Overall, I'd like to try some other hotels but will probably return as the value
is unsurpassed.
