This hotel was more than we expected! The room had a full kitchen, not just a
mini fridge & microwave like some. They even have a gas grill on the patio that
can be used by guests. The continental breakfast was the best I've ever seen,
with all kinds of selection for both hot and cold food. The rooms were updated
and clean. The only thing one might complain about was the CFL light in the
bathroom took quite awhile to get bright enough to see. Our balcony had chairs
to enjoy the sunshine and Lake Union was just across the street. Our room was
nice and quite too. We didn't use the pool or exercise room, but both looked
well kept. The parking garage is also secured and well lit, which was great. We
got an amazing deal with "Name Your Own Price" on Priceline. We wished we would
have realized that there was a stovetop and full refrigerator for cooking, or we
would have gone by a grocery store before getting to the hotel. There is no
convenience or grocery store in the immediate (easy walking) area. Across the
street is the Center for Wooden Boats and there will soon be a large park to
enjoy. The street car and bus stops are located on the same block as the hotel
and go directly into downtown. Only a couple blocks up Valley/Roy is Bucca di
Beppo Italian restaurant which has amazing food. We try and go each time we are
in Seattle (reservations are highly recommended!). And while not the most scenic
walk (you have to walk along a very busy highway) it is within a reasonable walk
of the Seattle Center (Space Needle). The Experience Music Project at Seattle
Center is also a must see & the Duck Tour is well worth it! We highly recommend
this hotel and plan to stay here again the next time we come to Seattle.

The staff was wonderful, but the hotel itself is outdated and in need of repair.
We found one of the toilets in our room running, and the bathroom sink was
clogged. The view of Lake Union and the Space Needle from the room's huge
balcony was lovely, but the screen door was stuck most of the time. The beds
were plush and comfortable. Parking was a very, very tight squeeze, but it was
nice that it was in a gated area. The free breakfast was great :)

So glad I chose this hotel, you can't beat it for the price and location.
Located directly across from the lake and only a short/cheap tram ride away
downtown! The staff was SO helpful they went above and beyond. From helping us
to find a late night food delivery to getting a town car over to us when we
arrived from the airport to the hotel and very quickly I might add! I didnt take
pics of the room because what you see on the website is exactly what you get! We
booked a one bedroom suite on the 6th floor. It had everything in the room small
kitchen with full sized fridge, micro, dishwasher, and stocked with tableware
and silverware. There was a small but cozy living area with a good sized flat
screen TV AND another one in the seperate bedroom area! The room had plenty of
room and big closet. I had no complaints about the room nor the cleanliness of
it. There was free wifi all over the hotel and it worked just fine from the 6th
floor. The free breakfast downstairs was also good. Everyday we enjoyed eggs,
sausage, potatoes, do-it-yourself belgian waffles, toast, bagels, muffins,
donuts, yogurt, fresh fruit...I could go on here. So overall, don't hesitate to
book here, especially families and people with pets! Our room was very quiet and
my sleep was never disturbed.

We just returned from a 3 night stay and were very pleased with the customer
service. The guest reception (Mon-Wed) were fantastic for our family. Great
items that could substitute for a light dinner. Breakfast was also great for our
family although my husband was a bit tired of the same menu by the 3rd day.
Distance to the Seattle Center were very nearby, especially helpful if you are
taking one of the ferries. Staff and front reception were very accommodating and
thoughtful. They noticed we were checking in with our younger children and were
able to find us a room very near the pool. Now that's hospitality! A note to pet
owners - they allow pets! We would definitely stay here again! Just a note:
parking is $19/day and pretty standard along Seattle Center. You have to pay for
parking everywhere you go. Pool area is rather tight with an awkward lay out and
very little seating. Whirlpool was being renovated and not working while we were
there. They also had a sauna and small kiddie pool.

We planned to arrive early, so I called to request early check in. Nothing was
available at the moment, but they took our number and called as soon as a room
opened up (less than 1 hour). Arrived at front desk to find we had been upgraded
to 2BR suite (reservation was for a 1BR suite)! All right! Room was a nice size,
full size fridge. Crib was not the usual packnplay variety, but a solid one that
sat higher off the floor and had a nice fitted sheet. Also provided a small
blanket that was soft! (Previous hotel experience is worn packnplay with flat
sheet tucked in, and a scratchy blanket). Since we had flown to Seattle, it was
nice not to lug our own portable crib. Parking onsite is $19 day, but very
convenient. Although we didn't use it, I noticed a streetcar stop right outside
the main entrance of the hotel, and it headed into downtown. Marina and
restaurants right across the street, along with a small playground set - great
for kids to use up some energy! Whole Food Market about 1 mile away was great
for premade food as well as regular groceries. Pool was nice, and complimentary
breakfast was huge- eggs, waffles, pancakes, bagels, muffins, fruit, oatmeal,
etc. etc. One note- I booked on their website, and the price had dropped when I
checked back later in the week. I called them and they made the adjustment
without a hassle.

My family, including my 63 year old parents, sister, and 4 year old nephew,
booked a room at this hotel on their way home from Hawaii to Juneau, AK. They
have stayed here before and enjoyed their experience. This time, they arrived at
the hotel (after 11pm due to a late flight) to discover their room had been
given away, due to an emergency in which the hotel was putting up a family who's
home had a fire. The hotel had made no effort to call my parents to notify them,
though it is fairly obvious that they knew early in that day that the family
would not be vacating the room my parents were suppose to have. The staff were
not as apologetic as I would have expected, under the circumstances. They did
find my parents a room at one of their other hotels. The room was a downgrade
from the suite they had reserved. The hotel compensated them one night's stay
but they had to pay for the other 2 nights in the small room, and the price
ended up being only 10$ cheaper than the suite they had reserved. Although the
staff called a taxi to transfer to the second hotel, there was no effort made to
help my family with their bags (my Father is disabled). Once at the second
hotel, the staff there acted as if they had no idea who we were, again did not
offer any help with bags, and again, did not apologize for the huge
inconvenience that this ordeal had caused. The staff's behavior was unacceptable
and I would not recommend the hotel.

Stayed here for a week when we arrived in the US from England before we were
able to move into our house. Had two huge bedrooms for us and our two little
boys (aged 6 & 3). With the kitchenette, living area and TVs in every room
showing HBO movies we had all we could wish for. Staff very friendly and
helpful. Delicious, varied and plentiful complimentary breakfasts and some
evenings they provided complimentary light meals ("socials"). Pool. Streetcar
outside hotel takes you to downtown Seattle within minutes. Lovely location by
Lake Union. Beds very comfortable, I wanted to take mine home with me! No
complaints, we had a wonderful comfortable stay, it was just what we needed.

We read the reviews and our expectations were high but our experience was even
better. Lovely building, beautiful atrium. Good location, a short, interesting
streetcar ride from downtown Seattle. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Somebody must do a great job of training and managing staff. We really
appreciated the free upgrade to a beautiful large suite with a view. Breakfast
was great.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by staff. The rooms were well kept
& we were given plenty of supplies.
The location was well suited for our business, fun, & nightlife.
We wish we had a better view, but you can't have everything all the time.
If we happen to be back in this area we will return here.
