Hotel Review of the Seattle Airport Quality Inn

This is an old three-floor, Quality Inn, basement level, ground level and
upstairs level. We stayed here two nights on our way to Vancouver for an Alaskan
cruise tour. Pluses include good location-very close to Airport, adequate
breakfast, inexpensive price, OK rooms with nice front desk staff. However, they
do not have an elevator and it was a pain dragging our luggage up & down the
stairs. Rooms are basic, staff are nice - it's an old facility, which is fine if
you only need a place to sleep with basic amenities.

My experience with the Quality Inn Sea-Tac Airport began with the airport
shuttle that arrived within minutes of my getting out of the terminal. The
driver helped with loading and unloading my bags. Check-in was a breeze, and in
no time I was relaxing in a moderate-sized room with a queen bed, cable TV,
aircon/heater, microwave, refrigerator, safe, and a clean bathroom. The next
morning I had a sumptuous breakfast at the dining room, which was cozy and
well-kept amidst the steady flow of guests. The kitchen crew did an excellent
job of checking to make sure there was a steady supply of food (scrambled eggs,
sausages, breads, bagels, waffles) and drinks (OJ, apple juice, decaf or regular
coffee, hot and cold water). One of them was even going around topping off
coffee cups! I didn't have a car, so it helped a lot that the hotel was located
very near a bus stop. The front desk staff was very helpful in letting me know
which bus to take and where to transfer. They were pleasant and always greeted
me upon arrival at the lobby. On my last day (I stayed 3 days) the front desk
staff offered for me to stay an extra hour in my room past the check-out time to
wait for my tour bus to arrive, and let me store my bags in the dining room
(which isn't used the rest of the day after breakfast). On my departure, I got
to the lobby just as the airport shuttle was leaving, and the front desk staff
paged the driver to stop, turn around, and get me! What an excellent way to
conclude my visit to this Quality Inn.
Only two negative things about my stay: One was that I could hear the footsteps
of the person/s in the room above me, but that was only for awhile. Besides, I
was gone from my hotel room most of the day. Second, the treadmill in the
fitness center was not working smoothly, and I wish there was more equipment
such as free weights.Hotel Review of the Seattle Airport Quality Inn

We needed a place to stay for one night before flying out of Sea-Tac the next
morning, and didn't want to pay for amenities we wouldn't need. Its sits just
off the main drag (perpendicular to highway 99). Isn't really attractive (think
cinder brick and 1985 carpet) but it felt safe and that's something given the
competitors' reviews. Friendly front desk and breakfast room staff. Very average
rooms (low quality mattresses, small bathroom, but furniture in good condition).
This place was okay, though not inexpensive, for our purposes. If you're looking
for a base from which to visit the greater Seattle area, there must be better
choices, as coming back to this place at the end of each day would seem a bit of
a downer. Warning: unless you are hearing impaired, do not get a room anywhere
near the ice machines which are in the stairwell in the center of the building,
as they are the loudest we have ever heard (are the motors going out??
honestly!). |

This common or garden motel is average at best. The room quality was acceptable
but I did wonder if the whiff of cleaning fluid was masking something. The big
down side, which applies to all the SeaTac hotels) is the location. It is
probably great if you are coming into or out of SeaTac airport (They have their
own shuttle bus), but if you are looking for a cheap alternative to a downtown
motel bear in mind that you are a long way from the tourist sights in Seattle.
Once the Light Rail is extended to the airport (due December 2009) then this
might be a viable option, but until then I'd suggest somewhere away from the
airport. |

The hotel and staff were excellent for a Quality Inn although the location and
view was lacking. The Hotel was clean, and very well maintained. The internet
worked fine in the room, beds comfortable. Our room was very clean and the
bathroom spotless.
We stayed only one night on a trip to Canada. The desk clerk was extremely
helpful in telling us the sights to see in Seattle and providing directions.
The hotel is just south of SeaTac airport although there was no plane noise in
the rooms at all.
They have a park and fly service as well as airport shuttle. Good value for the
money here.

This hotel is as it states. Quality. Not fancy just average. No pool at this
location. Breakfast is good. Shuttle service is nice. Rooms are smaller but they
are ok for a nights stay. Staff was friendly |

Stayed here pre cruise. Had a difficult time finding, must have had our eyes
closed, it seemed obvious after the fact. The front desk guy was great. Room was
fine, nothing elaborate but clean. Our window had a lot of condensation, but no
worries, noticed a little bit of a funky smell in the hallways but didn't lose
any sleep over it. seemed like a safe area. breakfast was decent , hard boiled
eggs waffle maker typical bread goods No complaints, inexpensive clean and safe. |

I didn't expect much with the price being so reasonable. But this is what I got.
QUALITY service, quality friendly people, clean room, close to the airport BUT
quiet. Great breakfast. Would I recommend this to my best friend? YES in fact
she was with me and would come as well, I would recommend this to my child as
well. Good job. I must remember this. Wi-fi, cleanness, reasonable, great
breakfast, service. Nice work. |

I stayed at this Quality Inn in Seatac about a year and a half ago and at that
time it was tired and a little run down; but the rate fit my budget and close to
the airport so I gave it another try. Wow, what a change. From the start the
shuttle driver helped me with advice on the way in about things to see in
Seattle then on arrival carried our luggage to the front desk. The girl at the
desk was warm and friendly and you could tell the lobby had changed, clean and
welcoming. I asked what happened and she told me they have new management and
did a little remodeling. I went to the room and it was close to what I remember
but with new furniture, paint and much cleaner. The biggest change was in the
morning thay added a dining room right off a new meeting room and the breakfast
(yes, hot breakfast ) was great. Thay even had staff waiting tables. Very
friendly. I was in a hurry when we checked out to catch the shuttle to the
airport and halfway on the flight my wife realized I left my laptop at the
hotel. When we got off the plane I called the hotel anticipating one big hassle
and the loss of my computer. Thay were kind and responsive and called me back in
less than ten minutes to inform me thay found it and then had it shipped to my
home in three days. The hotel may not be the most elegant or flashy but this
staff is trustworthy and makes you feel at home, that's best in my book. |

Spent just one night here but will go back for a longer stay next time.
Conveniently located near Sea-Tac. Rooms were clean and well-decorated. Ours had
a microwave and fridge in addition to coffeemaker and hairdryer.
Hotel offers expanded continental breakfast including waffles, hard-boiled eggs,
and yogurt.
No problems with aircraft noise, comfortable beds. |

We were shuffled to this hotel during the windstorm because the place we had was
out of power. The hallways were dirty, needed vacuumed. They jacked up the price
by at least $25 cause they knew they had us, so to speak. The room was clean,
very basic.
They had a great shuttle driver, Jimmy!! they were very accommodating in getting
us around in the van. let us stay in our room past the check out time because
our flight was delayed.
Overall, ok in a pinch. |
