Ok so first of all I am a total Priceline addict.. I like having to leave it up
to chance.. I get so hung up on every review etc.. I have booked this hotel at
least 12 nights in the past six months !
The staff is fabulous! My husband and I spend about a thrid of our year or more
in hotels for work and vacations and almost always encounter one problem.. just
life... but I have never once on any stay encountered a rude valet or staff
member in any manner at the Westin.. for some reason I always get the same
cleaning lady who speaks zero english and is so sweet always trying to get what
I am saying.. she is always quick with a request for more towels or anything I
might need nodding and smiling while she cleans everything she looks at.
The rooms are large and we always have a fabulous view with the floor to ceiling
windows.. we have always had a king room and find the pull out bed great when we
have our kids with us. The bed is fabulous!! The location is the BEST!! We love
to walk down to Pike's Place or any of the great shopping nearby.
I will agree that paying for wireless and parking makes me crazy! But the first
time we arrived to this hotel and balked at the cost of valet the valet
attendant was quick to show us parking not 2 seconds from the building for
$12.00 a day. But I have to make mention that valet staff here is so friendly
and efficient we decided to treat ourselves to their good service on our last
few trips rather than park elsewhere. If they would include parking and internet
or at least offer them to loyal customers for free like some other hotels I
would forgo Priceline to ensure I get the Westin every time I visit Seattle.

Comfort- you never want to leave your bed, rooms have all the amenities and the
views are breathtaking
Class- elegant, sophisticated, yet modern establishment
Customer service- you can count on the staff to see to your needs

I stayed one night at the Westin Seattle for business. The hotel lobby is pretty
large and well kept. My room in the North tower was clean and modern. The bed
was comfortable and the room had a nice flat screen tv.
The fitness center within the hotel is free of charge. Only your room key is
needed for access. For a hotel, the fitness center is quite nice with cardio
equipment and a variety of actual free weights. Most hotels do not have as good
equipment in their fitness centers.
You have to pay for wireless internet from your room, which may be an issue for
people considering the price paid for the room alone. I didn't have to park a
vehicle, but if I had to it would have cost a pretty penny as one of the nearby
parking garages would've been utilized.
The location of the hotel is good. It is a block or two from Westlake Center
which is a mall in downtown Seattle. The Space Needle and Pike Place are short
cab rides.
Overall the hotel is pretty nice and I had no complaints with my room. Paying
for Internet and parking are considerations for others wishing to stay here.

This hotel must not be doing well, based on the way that they try to get as much
money out of their "guests" as possible.
Parking- $72 for 2 days! There are several downtown hotels that have cheaper or
free parking.
'Mini Bar'- $5 for a candy bar, 7.25 for a Budweiser (hahaha). The management
should put the refrigerators back in! They obviously had them once, but now you
can check in your leftovers, tag them and staff will take them down to some
cooler somewhere, yeah right.
$179 for a standard room, with double beds even. Worst night of sleep I've had
at a hotel in the US.
Grouchy 'express service' staff.
The biggest insult: $16 for 24 hours worth of internet. Uh, where's the wi-fi
folks? In a happening city like Seattle I certainly expect free wi-fi (like all
the hotels in Portland... and others we've stayed at in Seattle)
The only reason we went there in the first place was because my daughter had a
dance competition there.
I added one star because they didn't have a bible in the room.

I booked my room at the Seattle Westin after having a great experience at the
Portland Westin. The two hotels really can't be compared.
The Westin Seattle is an over-priced hotel with few amenities. My room, on the
17th floor was adequate. The bathroom was TINY (two people wouldn't fit in
there) with a small tub/shower combo. The "heavenly" showerhead had no water
pressure, and I had to sqaut down to get my head wet because the shower head was
placed so low. The couch in the room had suspicious stains on it, as did the
curtains. The walls were scuffed up too. The wall colors were sea-foam green and
just seemed tired and worn out.
Room service is out-of-control. A breakfast of just oatmeal would have cost me
over $14. The small cafe was adequate, but was limited on choice there too.
Parking at the Westin is $36/day, which is ridiculous, and they don't offer free
wi-fi.
Be wary of conferences and events taking place in the ballrooms. A fraternity
was holding a winter ball, and their behaviour in the lobby was outrageous--
drunkenness, making out, one girl's dress was even rolled up to her waist.
I don't think I will stay at the Westin Seattle again, it just didn't meet my
expectations.

The Westin is perfectly located in downtown Seattle, with so many attractions a
short 5-10 minute walk away! Shopping, shopping, shopping! Nordstrom's, Macy's,
Tiffany's, the list goes on! All just a block or two away from the hotel lobby!
Pike Place Market is a 10 minute walk.And the monorail to Seattle City Center
and the Space Needle is a block away.
Parking is expensive ($36/day self-park & $39/day valet)... but with everything
so close by foot... who needs a rental car?!?!
We were in a lovely room on the 38th floor of the north tower... with a
wonderful view of the harbor and ferry terminal, beyond the entrance to the
market. Being so high up, I did need to use ear plugs on two of the nights, as
the building would creak a bit with heavier winds.
Wireless internet was available free in the lobby, but in the room prices were
too expensive. $10/day. If Hampton Inn can provide free internet, why is Westin
nickel and diming on a service that modern customers have come to expect.
Room service was good... dinner in the restaurant was hit or miss (one of the
best entrees of our trip, and one of the worst).
The week day staff was fantastic... pleasant, accommodating, going the extra
step to ensure we felt taken care of, and not just another face in the crowd.
