We stayed here one night to be somewhat close to the airport and to the Showare
Center for a hockey game. I have no complaints about the property or the room.
The room (King) was clean and well-maintained, as well as spacious. The staff
was friendly during check-in. The hotel is located close to Southcenter and was
a less than ten minute drive to Sea-Tac. It was also within ten minutes of the
Showare Center. For the price we paid, and compared to other hotels in the area,
this hotel was a great value.

We arrived on Friday night, after a concert in Tacoma and decided to stay at
this hotel to attend the Gonzaga basketball game the next day. I had reserved
the room online with the breakfast option. Upon check-in, the main entrance door
was locked and the clerk asked why we were there, I said to check in. She let us
in the hotel and I realized my credit card was missing. I explained this to her
and said I had $500 in cash if she would take a cash deposit to allow us to stay
for the night. Obviously, I had arragned the reservations on-line and had the
appropriate ID, the rude clerk only said they would have to have a credit card
or she would not let us stay there. I asked what hotels would take a $500 cash
deposit and she said she didn't know and that I would have to pay for the room
anyway because we had missed the cancelation period. I was furious, thinking I
lost my card at the concert I walked back out to my car and started looking for
my credit card, amazingly it was tucked under the front floor map. I went back
to the hotel and even though the clerk had just been talking to me, she still
wouldn't unlock the front door until I stated what my business was there,
checking-in I once again said. Except for the rude employee checking us in the
room was nice. The breakfast was good, we ordered omlettes and the fruit was
very fresh, the wait staff in the restaurant was exceptional. There should be
some sort of allowance for people who lost their credit cards to leave a 300-500
cash deposit to stay there. Also I noticed an additonal 2.50 charge on my credit
card for the drinking the bottled water that was in the room, there should be a
big sign on it stating the water is NOT complimentary. Will not be staying at
this hotel again. My check in date was this past Friday night, 12/16/11.

Stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. When I arrived at the airport I called for
the shuttle, an unusually cheerful hotel employee answered the phone and told me
she would be right there to pick me up in 10 minutes, she arrived in 8. She
continued to be cheerful during our trip to the hotel and told me about the
hotel and the area. The lobby area looked very nice. There was a lounge area
with a nice fireplace and they had a nicely decorated Christmas tree. Check-in
was very quick and easy, they gave me a bottle of water and I took the elevator
up to my floor. The room was ok, clean and tidy. King size bed, large
flatscreen, work desk, clean bathroom with separate sink area. There was a small
refrigerator with a microwave sitting on top of it on the floor next to the bed
and sofa. Looked a little odd but nice to have. Modern light fixtures and window
shade. Under the window was the dreaded air conditioner. I absolutely hate the
in-room A/C units, they turn on and off during the night with a lot of noise and
blast air into the room. This one was no different and I needed to keep it on to
stay warm since it was near freezing outside. Really disturbs my sleep but I
should also mention that I am very sensitive to noise, probably more than most
people. One feature I really liked about the room was that every lamp had power
outlets in addition to several on the wall. I have a lot of gadgets to charge
and I am used to hunting for the one power outlet hidden under a dusty desk even
in luxury hotels, the Courtyard excelled in the power outlet category. The gym
was small but modern with Life Fitness equipment with built in TV screens and
iPhone adapters. Next to it was a nice looking indoor pool and hot tub. Sunday
morning I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. They have an all-inclusive
buffet with a $10.99 weekend special price. It included a wide selection of
breads, bagels, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juices and freshly made blueberry
muffins. It also had a cook to order section where you can get eggs, omelets,
waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, sausages and more. It tasted
great and was a tremendous value. Again, the staff in the restaurant were great.
After breakfast I decided to go to Starbucks by the mall. I asked at the front
desk if she could drive me in the shuttle since I had enough walking the evening
before. She took me there right away, offered to stay while I got the coffee and
then drive me somewhere else if i needed to. I told her I would stay at
Starbucks for a while and she gave me the number to call to get picked up to
come back to the hotel. Fantastic service. The second night I decided to keep
the A/C turned off to avoid the noise, good decision. Before I went to bed I had
a glass of wine again in the bar, another good service experience.
In summary, this is a good hotel with an exceptional staff next to tons of
shopping and dining and 10 minutes away from SEA airport and the price is right.
The reason I rate Sleep Quality only Average is the noisy air conditioner.

Room was laid out differently from other hotel rooms making it fresh and new.
Despite being in the flight pattern for Sea-Tac, you could not hear the jets
anywhere in the hotel nor could we hear any noise from rooms on either side or
above (hotel was full) Very, very quiet. Front desk staff was friendly and
always willing to help with directions. Would like to see the business center
expanded to several computer stations, maybe in a room rather than in the
lounge. Would definitely stay again...and again!

Stayed here for one night since it is so close to the airport. From check in to
check out everything was perfect. The room was beautiful and had a great
balcony. Very spacious!! There is a train track behind the hotel. My room faced
it. There is noise from it but I am sure
if you ask for a room facing the front...they would accommodate as their staff
is wonderful!! The train didn't bother me but I could see where it could bother
some. The mall is very close as is ikea! I would highly recommend thus hotel to
anyone needing to be by the airport or a great location for a weekend shopping
trip!! |
