I am a Best Western Rewards client - always stay at BW whenever I travel because
the rooms are always clean, the staff usually helpful, and the facilities are
centrally located and well kept.
This hotel is none of the above. In the first place, the premises are old, the
furniture is worn, the carpets are dirty and the walls are dingy. That could be
forgiven were it not for the fact that the staff is unhelpful, with the
exception of one shuttle driver and one new receptionist. Examples: there are no
instructions posted in the computer room about operating the printer or
informing a guest how to log in, which means one has to ask the front desk and
if there is only one person there, well, tough luck. When one asks for
assistance, the staff behaves as if they are either annoyed or clueless or both.
The rooms have been updated but the walls are horridly thin. I asked for a
"quiet room" and could still hear normal conversations down the hallway!
Finally, guests are not informed that if they want a shuttle to the airport.,
they must make a reservation! My entire stay there would have been comical if
not so horridly inadequate compared with normal Best Western reputation for
quality and service.Hotel Reviews Best Western Airport Executel

I stayed one night with an early morning flight. The free shuttle to the airport
was great, and I was even able to enjoy the free breakfast before I left, as it
started early. Apart from the free ride to the airport, my party used the
shuttle to get us to the train into town, and we just had to call for a pickup
when we were ready to come back. It was nice to be able to leave the car behind.
Darryl the shuttle bus driver was very friendly and helpful, as were the front
desk staff. Great value. Nice pool. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely
stay there again.

Stayed here for one night in mid August and then 8 nights in September due to
hurricane Irene because of flight cancellations. The hotel is very well
maintained and the housekeeping staff keeps it spotless. The beds are very
comfortable and the bathrooms are well cared for. The rooms would benefit by
adding a microwave and a better TV with better channel selections. The free
breakfast is well done, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal, toast, bagels,
juice, coffee, tea, etc. It's best to get there early because the late risers
stream in after 9 and the place fills up fast and food bins empty and silverware
disappears. The breakfast area also serves as a dining room for dinner and I
have to say it's one of the best hotel restaurants I've eaten in. The portions
are large and the meals are VERY inexpensive. The two waitresses that served us
the 4 times we ate there were the nicest people you could ask to meet. As others
have noted, the location is in a semi-industrial area so having a car is a must.
There is an IHOP nearby and a Safeway, both within walking distance. Other than
that, you're out of luck. The free shuttle is great too, they'll take you to the
airport where you can catch the light rail into Seattle and they will also drop
you off at a couple of nice restaurants near the airport, 13 Coins and Sharps.
Tip the guy a few bucks whenever you ride...they do a great job. I held off
giving them 5 stars because we had called ahead the first time we stayed there
to make sure we had a roll-away bed in our room since there were 5 of us and
when we arrived (at 11:30PM) there was no roll-away bed and none were available.
My son had to sleep on the floor on numerous blankets and pillows. They did give
us a discount for our troubles though. The jets taking off and landing can be an
annoyance at night but I think SeaTac suspends flights overnight. The business
center is a good addition too allowing you to use a computer to work or
book/confirm flights and print out boarding passes.

Simply put, the worst soundproofing I have ever experienced at a hotel. You can
hear every step anyone is taking on your floor (terrible floorboards) and on the
floor above. It's NONSTOP footsteps; simply unbearable.
The hotel itself is decent and the beds are comfortable (if you can ever fall
asleep). The continental breakfast is nice but when we went at 9:10am, the eggs
were gone and never got refilled (breakfast was supposed to go on until 9:30am).
Also, several barefoot guests - gross.
Our bathroom was shower only and there's even a sign detailing how much the
guest will be charged for each missing towel. Tacky.
The hotel is pretty far south, away from the cluster of SeaTac hotels and dining
options, so only stay here if you have a car (at least parking is plentiful).
Nice, friendly front desk staff; the housekeeping team seemed to just wish
guests would disappear.

This is a great place for a relaxing comfortable stay. The rooms are clean , the
breakfast was excellent and the staff was helpful. I had an issue with the
vouchers for transport to the pier 91 and this was effectively handled by Mr
Nadeem Pirani ( General Manager). If you are cruising from Seattle this is the
place to stay. The free airport shuttle operates like clockwork and the hotel is
in a nice, safe location. |
