Found clean and spacious with adjoining rooms. Service is pretty professional
and helpful. Walking distance to the airport, but free shuttle parking and
service is right next door for free.

We stayed at the Red Lion to be near the airport due to early flight the next
morning. It was large, clean rooms. Our carpet was wet due to a leak coming from
the next room. Called front desk and we were moved to new room within 5 minutes.
The room they moved us to was same kind just different floor. Very quick to take
care of things.

We had a couple of days to wait for our car to be delivered in Seattle before
driving to Eastern Washington and decided to stay at the Red Lion because it was
close to the airport and the Light Rail. We were very happy to find out that
there were also quite a few decent restaurants all within 2-3 blocks. We were
able to walk everywhere we needed to before we got our car and we had a little
refrigerator and microwave in opur room. All for less than $100

For a mid-range airport stopover, this is a terrific choice. Close to airport,
very clean, large, comfortable rooms with fridge and super-comfy beds, nice
outdoor pool & indoor hot tub, and a bountiful, good quality, all-you-can-eat
breakfast buffet next door for about $8. I simply can't think of anything wrong
with it!

I was a bit worried when we pulled into the parking lot, as this hotel is so
very close to the airport. But our first-floor room, which looked out into the
parking lot, was quiet; I only heard a little noise from the hallway or a
neighboring shower.
The bed was above-average in comfort for a hotel bed, and all the linens were
nice and fresh. The pillows were rather overstuffed but I managed to squish one
down to a usable size. The comforter was, alas, the somewhat scratchy kind
popular in most hotels.
The shower area looked quite nice with actual tile and it was absolutely
spotless, even in the corners. The shower-head was a large, non-mobile type with
many little streams of water, and the hot water was impressively hot.
As of August 2011, the wi-fi was free, fast, and stable. Breakfast is included
for free in some packages; if not, you can pay $9. It is served in the
restaurant next door, and included breads, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bacon, eggs,
sausage and hash browns. Oh, and best of all, they have a pancake printer -
that's right, it 'prints' fresh pancakes right onto your plate off a little
conveyor belt!
Parking is $10 a night. I don't like to pay to park, but it is several dollars
cheaper than the neighboring pay to park lots. Oh, and I can't say for sure as I
didn't explore the whole hotel, but I don't think there is a laundry room. They
do have laundry service.
It's clean, it's quiet, and it's ridiculously close to the airport and the light
rail station. This time of year is when all the construction is done because
it's dry, so driving a car around is even more of a pain than usual; if you are
up for the walk, taking the train might make your visit more pleasant. |
