Nice hotel with comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and
it does offer a shuttle service from the airport (however you can walk here from
the airport by using the skybridge to the light rail link in about 10 minutes).
Nice outdoor pool area and walking distance from a few restaurant/diners
including 13 Coins and Denny's. We stayed here after travelling from the UK (a
14 hour trip from Glasgow) because we planned to drive to Mount St Helen's the
next day and wanted a hotel with an outdoor pool. However, the hotel itself
seemed more set up for business conferences and had the typical US conference
hotel look. Not my favourite place I have stayed and would think twice before
staying here again although there was really nothing wrong with it.

Just spent one night here to break up the drive between Vancouver BC and
Portland. $63 a night from Priceline (and, as many others have complained,
another $20 for parking). It's a lovely hotel but built like a Vegas hotel (i.e.
very spread out). The staff are less than enthusiastic (perhaps from many years
of being blasted for charging for parking at an airport hotel!) but the room is
very nice. Comfy beds, flat screen TV with lots of high-def channels. There is
free wi-fi (lobby only, otherwise you're paying for it) and a nice pool (packed
with screaming kids, alas). Lots of noise from the hall way, too. We were
grateful to have to deal with only one night. For those without a car, it would
seem like a better deal. There is a big transit station right across the street.

We were booked on a cruise from 8/6 to 8/13 and wanted to get a room for Friday
night the 5th. The Hilton shuttle picked us up from the airport. The hotel
staff, Clay, booked us a shuttle to get us to the cruise ship. We were also told
that we could return on the13th for the day as our flight didn't leave until 7
PM. The bell desk helped us to use the Seattle express and suggested a
restaurant (Crab Pot - Wonderful). They stored our luggage while we went out and
also shuttled us to the airport.
I've always loved the Hiltons but this was way above and beyond service.

Rooms are a nice size, clean. Had a room with two beds facing the inner
courtyard on 1st floor. It was quiet and we could not hear hear any noise from
the airport. Light rail train was opposite the hotel and is convenient for those
with no car. Parking costs $20/day which allows in & out privileges. Hotel had a
restaurant and also an area you could purchase coffee, muffins, cereal for
breakfast in the morning. There is also a Denny's about a block away.
Air conditioner in the lobby is on super high and is very cold. Even in the
summer.

My husband and I stayed at the Seattle Hilton (Airport) in June, using it as a
launch for the beginning of our 25th anniversary cruise. We were pleasantly
surprised at the beauty of the gardens, and the spaciousness of the rooms. We
expected little from a airport hotel, and were delighted with our stay there.
One of the little touches that I particularly liked, was a huge glass modern art
decanter filled with water, ice and lemons adjacent to the registration desk. It
looked so refreshing and welcomed us in the most beautiful way. |
