Our room was very nice looking. Cleanliness was average. Needed some dusting.
The biggest problem is that the room's thermostat was very archaic and obviously
not working. The room was set at 75 degrees for 5 hours while we were out and
came back to a freezing cold room. Turned up the heat to 85, still no heat two
hours later. Then we gave up went to sleep. Woke up to a blazing hot room. Tried
to turn the heat down and it wouldn't shut off until we set it to 60 degrees.
Next day we turned the thermostat up to 70 and came back to a blazing hot room.
It had to be over ninety and couldn't get the heat to shut off. Ended up opening
the window, but it only opened a bit and we couldn't get any air in the room.
The water also goes from cold to blazing hot, no in between and if someone turns
on or off the water from another room, you risk getting burned. I was really
glad we were not traveling with our children as we couldn't have safely given
them a quick shower if needed. Also, the front desk dropped the ball. We called
down on New Year's Eve just after midnight to ask for replacement batteries or a
remote and they said they would try to find someone to bring us new batteries
and nothing was done. No phone call saying they didn't have any extra batteries
and no one would be coming. They just didn't respond. It would have been nice to
know if they were coming or not.

I had gone on an official visit to Seattle in Late August for an ship visit in
cherry point . After a very long flight from India to US by air France , The
flight was very good , still due to jet lag wanted to stay overnight before the
official visit , One of my friend suggested red lion hotel just outside the
Tacoma airport . It is hardly a 10 minutes drive from the airport and infact the
airport can be seen from the hotel .
The hotel was very clean and after a such a long flight I had no other option
but to sleep , the room was very comfortable and the value for money is very
much there in this hotel .
Food was average , may be because of my taste as an Indian and breakfast was
good .

I stayed at the Red Lion back in late October. The place is really easy to find,
just outside the Airport. You can walk from the terminal in just 10 minutes. The
Light Train going downtown is about 700 yards away and that makes it really easy
to get around. The hotel itself is OK, but the room I had was huge! King bed,
coffee and bathroom. Very nice considering the price I paid. I hab booked via
ratestogo and my room was under $75 a night. The front desk personnel is helpful
and very friendly and there is a computer in the lobby. Breakfast is to be taken
next door and the buffet costs under $10/person. I would certainly stay at that
hotel if I come back despite being a bit far from downtown .
Nice stay!

This is a great spot to stay before flying or for meetings that require people
to fly in for. It is literally right across the street from the airport and you
can walk from baggage claim to the hotel within 10 minutes.
I stayed for a business meeting and the event planning staff were great to work
with. Very attentive and added some personal touches for members of our group.
The hotel is in the process of being renovated and updated. It is a very clean,
comfortable hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, clean and
the amenities include soaps from Bath & Bodyworks.
The Roaring Start breakfast has a fairly good selection and if you would rather
order off the menu, there are fresh options available.
The rate was good for the Seattle area - especially in the summer - however,
this may have been a group rate. My family traveled with me and my son (12 year
old) absolutely loved the staff and the hotel.
