2411 Alaskan Way, Pier 67 Seattle, WA
The Edgewater Hotel Seattle
Seattle’s only waterfront hotel, with dramatic views of Elliott Bay, the Olympic
Mountains and the downtown skyline, and a location right on Pier 67 at the
city’s dynamic doorstep.
The 223-room Edgewater doesn't just have views
of Elliott Bay; it sits on an actual pier. It could get by on its excellent
scenery, but stunning design and smart service make it worth a stay for the
moneyed traveller.
The Edgewater began as a temporary hotel built for the 1963 World's Fair, but
what a difference a few decades make. At that time, people paid a premium to
hang over the bay and fish from their rooms. Times have changed and fishing is
no longer allowed from the building, but that doesn't make the Edgewater any
less worthwhile. The lobby is like a Northwest hunting lodge in the year 2500,
with stainless-steel columns transformed into trees with bionic branches.
Armchairs hewn from logs sit aside antler lamps and dead-on bay views. Faux
birch bark wallpaper is simply cool. Other Seattle lodgings may have larger
rooms, but few have more style. With half of the 223 rooms looking out directly
over the calming waters of Seattle's Elliott Bay, the remaining rooms offer
sparkling views of the Seattle skyline from the resort-like tranquility of the
pier. All accommodations are furnished with custom-designed knotty pine
furniture, overstuffed chairs and a fuzzy bear ottoman located in front of the
gas fireplace.
The heart and soul of Seattle, Pike Place Market is only steps away. This is
Seattle luxury lodging, with knotty-pine furniture, river-rock fireplaces and
urban and wilderness landscapes, just outside your hotel window. It's true,
these luxury Seattle accommodations are surrounded by stunning Elliott Bay views
and glimpses of passing boats.
The AAA 4 diamond Edgewater Hotel
has been recognized in many prestigious industry publications and has been
honoured by some of the most elite hospitality and travel industry associations.
The Edgewater Hotel is smoke free hotel.
This
is lodge luxury, with river-rock fireplaces, and urban and wilderness
landscapes, just outside your window. The Edgewater's waterfront location,
distinct Seattle art, architecture and ambiance, makes it the preferred choice
over the many urban Seattle accommodations.
The Edgewater sits amid the majestic beauty of Elliott Bay, the emerald islands
of Puget Sound and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains beyond. A rare place that
captures the pulse of Seattle, while providing the essence of the Pacific
Northwest experience. A mountain lodge, on the edge of the bay, within reach of
all that Seattle has to offer.
