First of all, I'm a big fan of the Kimpton Hotel Chain: I think they do most
everything well. The Monaco in Seattle is no exception. After I booked my room
(got a great off-season rate), they sent me an email with an option to upgrade
to a suite for an additional $20 a day (based on availability). When I checked
in, I received a very pleasant welcome and was told that I had been upgraded.
The room (a Mediterranean Suite) was huge, with an enormous soaking tub and
separate shower -- plus there were two goldfish waiting for us.

Take Interstate 5 North into downtown Seattle, WA
Exit at Madison Street
Turn left at the stop light at Madison Street and the freeway off-ramp
Turn right onto Fourth Avenue; immediately get in left lane

Fourth Avenue and Spring Street on your left side
