Hotel Review of the Alexis Hotel Seattle

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay at the hotel. The valet parking is essential for down town Seattle and well worth the cost. The Valets were quick, friendly and explained how I could retrieve my car if needed.
Check in was a breeze; friendly, helpful front desk attendant who accommodated my request for an upgrade to a King size room.
The hotel itself is a work of art, very pleasing, relaxing decor with a nice touch of elegance. My room 414 was very well appointed, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, chase lounge for reading my book along with a desk and spacious closet with large safe. The bathroom is nice, modern decor with all the necessities available. I took advantage of the stand alone three drawer to store my personal belongings, such as cosmetics, curling iron, etc.
Room service was fantastic! Food is excellent and inexpensive. The service was quick and the staff friendly.
Overall, one of my better weekend visits to downtown Seattle. I would easily recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I'm a Kimpton member and have always liked their hotels a lot. I got a great deal on the Alexis and stayed there for 3 nights in December just before Xmas. It's a nice hotel, but there were a lot of little things that were off. First, I found the bed the least comfortable of any Kimpton hotel at which I stayed. I mentioned this to the person on check-out and she said they'd recently replaced their mattresses and gone with somewhat softer, less firm ones so if you need a firmer mattress for your back (as I do), I'd recommend you might want to think twice about this hotel. There were also several little things not quite right with the room (it was cooler than I'd like, I couldn't turn the heat up, there was no extra blanket in the closet, there was a small problem with the shower). Kudos to the staff, who addressed each and every one of these issues promptly and in a very friendly manner, but it's unusual in my experience to run into so many little things. Also, as friendly and polite as the staff was, service was mixed. In the restaurant for breakfast, I sat there for 15 minutes and had to go over and talk to a waitress before I got any service (she did apologize profusely for not seeing me in the booth) and on checkout, it was a full 30 minutes from when I phoned down to the front desk asking for a bellhop and for my car to be pulled out of valet parking until I was actually in my car and driving away. They said there were busy with people checking out (it was about 11:15 am when I called down), but 30 minutes still seems like a lot to me.

My husband and I stayed in Seattle for the Saturday Seahawks game before heading up north to our family Christmas. Kaitlyn helped us get checked in after a small issue with our reservation. Definitely not the hotels fault. Our friend booked the room for us and put it in his name. Kaitlyn spoke to him and we were in the most beautiful room we have seen. The location couldn't be better. A short walk to the waterfront, Pike's Place Market and both sports stadiums. The Library Bistro staff was very tentative and friendly. Thank you to all who helped make our holiday stay feel as if we were at home with family.

My wife and I went to Seattle for a week to site see and watch a football game on Monday night. We chose the Alexis Hotel because of the good reviews and the location seemed pretty good for what we wanted to do and see. t far exceeded all our expectations, the location was absolutely perfect (close to Pike Market and stadiums), the customer service was exceptional and our room was wonderful. If and when we return to Seattle this will know doubt be where we stay again.

We loved the service and everything that makes the Alexis an outstanding hotel. We especially loved the concierge John A. He more then once went out of his way to provide us with transportation and even helping us with breakfast in bed. Ty again! We can't wait to go back.
