Hotel Review of the Crowne Plaza Hotel Seattle

Typical large chain hotel but very comfortable room with good ensuite bathroom
and excellent views over Seattle. Hotel is centrally located within easy walking
distance of shops etc. Dining room is large and impressive but I don't like the
American policy, which is catching on in Europe too, of having to pay extra for
breakfast, especially when it is buffet style and you have to go and serve
yourself.

We spent one night at Crowne Plaza. It is right off the highway from the
airport. The rooms were nice and big. I thought the room rate was a little
pricey but that is the trend nowadays. It had a nice HD TV inside with plenty of
channels to choice from. I had a great view of downtown Seattle. We were on the
fifteenth floor. I heard this hotel was steps away from pier 66. They were
wrong. It was at least two miles away. You cannot walk it with luggage. We took
the shuttle and it cost us $10 each. We were told there is a buffet, we assumed
it was free but it cost $15 a person. We were only staying one night there
before our Alaskan cruise.

near shopping area, not too far by walking to Pike market, just beside the
highway if you rented a car and a beautiful seaview if you are lucky to have a
high level room. People are very nice and service is very good.

Really nice staff, clean room, comfy bed, good water pressure. We stayed on the
29th floor and the view was beautiful! Send it to my husband and he said it
looked like a post card.
Ate dinner here once. Beef stroganoff was just ok. Tried to eat breakfast here
but the waiter left us sitting there a long time. Their breakfast is rather
overpriced $16 for the buffet and overpriced a la carte items. Wifi is $10 a
day, or $40 for the week. Thank goodness for 3G.

This hotel is located close enough to walk to many of the downtown
attractions. something that is a VERY good idea given the crazy traffic in
Seattle!
Room Tip: It's worth paying extra to be on the executive level if you are more
than one person as they furnish a very nice continental breakfast. |
