Hotel Review of the Edgewater Hotel Seattle

Stayed here the last night of our honeymoon, on the way back from the San Juan Islands. Loved our waterfront room - the view was stellar and the room itself was on par with the view. Comfortable bed, fantastic bathroom, plenty of space. Went to the bar, enjoyed the friendly busy vibe, had a glass of wine while enjoying the same stellar view. Treated ourselves to a room service breakfast and it was outstanding - and a LOT of food. Great all-around experience.

Everything about the Edgewater was warm and welcoming. We walked into our room and there was a fire in the fireplace. The linens were beautiful and the beds were first rate. The lobby is comfortable and there are tables with games and several groups were seated playing cards. This is a waterfront hotel and is not in the middle of the city. However, you can easily walk into town and it is very safe

After reading some of the comments for this hotel I was a little concerned. More so with the train noise as our room faced directly to the tracks.
The room was very sound proof. There was some train noise but not enough to effect your sleep. The room was very clean and loved the decor. We took there limo service to the airport and upon checking thru security at the airport we realized my wife left here wallet in the limo.
We called the hotel and the driver did find it and they where so good as to send the driver back out to the airport with it.
This is service above and beyond.
Would highly recommend the Edgewater.

Our stay at the Edgewater earlier this summer couldn't have been nicer! The views of both the Sound and Mt. Rainer from our room were exactly why we chose the Edgewater: awesome! My experience with the concierge couldn't have been more different from a past reviewer: he was most helpful in arranging a car service and assisting my wife in getting to the Link transit system. Lastly, forget about the standard rep on hotel food. The views from the bar/restaurant at sunset are breathtaking and the food was top drawer! I would absolutely recommend Edgewater as a great alternative to the "big guys" up the hill.

We had a room right on the water. Expensive, but worth it since we were only staying one night and the next day our Alaskan cruise departed from next door. We could see the cruise ship out our window and feed seagulls at the same time. My husband has Parkinson's so we asked for a room with grab bars in the bathroom. Our room was right off the lobby, quiet and convenient. The hotel reminded me of a smaller version of the Grand Teton Lodge in Wyoming. It had the same ambiance. Unique decoration that lends itself to the feeling of being in a classy hunting lodge. The Six Seven restaurant is outstanding in both decor and food. Would not hesitate to recommend it. If you're looking for a unique hotel experience, this is it. It is expensive and I wouldn't stay there for very long due to the price. When we returned from the cruise we stayed an additional 3 days in Seattle but switched to a less expensive hotel.

Sitting in the lobby of the hotel, right on top of the sound, feels like sitting on a luxury cruise ship. We had a great evening, sitting there by the enormous fireplace, playing the available board games, and watching the sun set over the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.

After traveling a lot in the past year or so I've learned that many (not all) hotels are basically the same in that they have thin walls! The Edgewater is no exception to this but it has many things going for it that allow you to look past its construction. First, it has an amazing view. The Edgewater has rooms facing the water and it is worth paying the extra dough to reserve these units. Second, it has a great location. It is just a stroll from great things to visit like Pike's Market, numerous pubs, and the Seattle Aquarium (be warned though, there are many hills if you do not stay ocean-side). Third, it has a nice restaurant in "Six Seven". The menu was limited but what they offer is prepared well. The service was wonderful!

Loved the lodge feel of the lobby and rooms. Log cabin-esque rooms were very cozy, along with the gas fireplace and robes. All the special touches were there that made it very inviting. I definitely would go back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Edgewater. Our room was a water view and it was terrific. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and spacious. We walked to just about everywhere we wanted to go, because the hotel is located close to the water, the shops, the Aquarium, the Space Needle, and Pike Place Market. The breakfasts in the restaurant were delicious. Overall, we would stay here again, without question.
