Hotel Review of the Red Lion Hotel Seattle Downtown

Very convenient to downtown activities. The desk staff and concierge were very
friendly and attentive. During our stay we had to switch rooms after a few
nights. The thin walls made it difficult to sleep with neighbours on each side
of you being noisy. The bed in the first room was in need of replacement and had
a nice "sink hole" in the middle. The room we were switched to was quiet and the
bed was great. Only other comment is that housekeeping was inconsistent in that
we had to request hand towels one evening after none were left. We also had to
request toilet paper on another night when no additional tissue was left by
housekeeping during routine cleaning. Probably would look to stay somewhere else
next time.

We stayed a the Red Lion while playing in abridge tournament in the convention
center. The location was perfect, about a 3 or 4 block walk in one direction to
the convention center, in the other to the famous Pike Place market. Front desk
staff and restaurant staff were pleasant and efficient, and when I mentioned
that the toilet was not flushing properly, they made the repairs within a few
hours.
I must agree with the criticism about the thin walls -- the TV from next door,
and the footsteps of children running or people talking in the hallway were all
quite annoying.
But overall and considering the price, I would gladly return.

We had a very good short stay before going on a cruise. The room was clean, and
very comfortable. Extremely comfortable bed. Ate at the hotel for dinner and
breakfast with quick and attentive service. Food was also good. Front desk were
very helpful. Can recommend for short breaks.

The rooms in this hotel are on par with other 4-stars in area. Lobby not as
opulent but the Terrace Garden Restaurant and Bar are definitely worth a visit.
19th floor rooms don't offer much of an eastern view but looked to be recently
renovated. |
