Hotel Review of the Sorrento Hotel Seattle
September 6, 2011
My wife and I stayed here for one night. The front of the hotel was beautiful
and very well kept. The valets were very polite and helped us right away.
Our room was on the 5th floor and the veiw was great. The room was very clean
and a nice size. The bed was one of the nicest that I have ever slept on. We
used the courtesy car to go down to Safeco Field, which was a nice touch.
In the morning was had breakfast at a small cafe across the street and it was
pretty good. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we did not eat there. The
only negative about the hotel is the elevator, it is small and slow. This is
understandable because of the age of the hotel.
We will stay here again and recommend it to others.

My four night stay at this historic/majestic property was WONDERFUL...!
My room was large and beautifully appointed.
The Staff was Friendly, well trained, and attentive to details.
The location in downtown Seattle located on Madison Street was perfect as far as
getting on and off the expressways.
Free parking was a major plus.
The 10:30 PM Happy Hour (half price on food and drinks) resulted in my timing my
evenings around this feature. 'tis a GREAT HOTEL...!

Hotel is a beautiful old girl! Updated in all the right ways. Room was
beautiful, fabulously clean, luxurious AND the most comfortable bed I've slept
on in years better than home!)
Staff is friendly, courteous, and efficient. Food was excellent. Bartender got a
special tip from my husband.
Although restaurant does not open til 8am -we were happily served coffee, juice
and toast before our early departure.
Appreciate being away from the "main drag".
Best value and experience of more than a full week of hotel stays. We will
absolutely be back.

My wife and I stayed a night in one of the suites. All the basics met or
exceeded our expectations and there were plenty of fun extras as well (french
press for making coffee, rather than a typical coffee maker; good quality coffee
from a small roaster, rather than the typical S***bucks crap; two large-screen
TVs; plenty of seating in the sitting room). One thing to bear in mind is that
(as far as we could tell), there's only one very small and very slow elevator.
My wife and I are stairs people, so we weren't particularly troubled, but I can
see how this might be an inconvenience for obligate elevator users.

The hotel is terrific. The staff - the concierge, front desk and everyone we
encountered was friendly and helpful and went above/beyond to ensure the guests
were happy. The room was spacious and comfortable and overall the hotel had a
'class' about it that separates it from other hotels. I would wholeheartedly
recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle. It is hands-down my favorite
hotel in Seattle and one of my overall favourites.
