Hotel Review of the Alexis Hotel Seattle

The hotel was a great get away. We live in Washington but had a show downtown.
The location is perfect- walkable to many areas of downtown. The hotel is very
nice, comfortable

We had a really good stay at this hotel at the end of November. Very helpful
staff with a 'can do' attitude and a welcoming atmosphere. We were very
fortunate to be upgraded and I must say we were surprised by the size and
facilities of the room, together with (mostly) a view of the water. Probably
worth paying for the larger rooms/suite if you can, facing the sound. The hotel
is well placed for everything and offers something a little different than the
'formula' hotels. This is an older building, so if you are fussy about hearing
people above you walking around on creaky floor boards, this may not be the
place for you. We enjoyed our stay.
If you enjoy good Italian food with no pretentions, try the basic decor but
excellent food of Bencoldi, (Luigi's) just down the road towards the station.
Happy hour after 8 where all food is half price is just amazing.

We stayed at the Alexis for a holiday party downtown and we were very impressed
with the welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and even other guests in the
hotel. The staff made us feel as though we were the only. ones staying at the
hotel. They had a complimentary wine. hour that was incredible and we made quick
friends with people staying at the hotel. The room was perfect and the bed very
comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone staying or visiting downtown
Seattle.

Great hotel & good location. Love the bar either next door or part of the hotel.

No hotel will make you feel at home like the Kimpton hotels. We walked in the
fancy lobby, dirty and grubby from a fun day outdoors. We had 2 dishelved small
kids who are kind of loud. All the staff greeted us with big smiles and warm
welcomes. They made us feel like we were the only people staying at the hotel.
An employee recognized us from another Kimpton we stayed at and sent us up some
local IPA beer knowing we like to try different breweries. |
