Hotel Review of the Courtyard Seattle Lake Union
11 Jul 2011
The room was great but the service was TERRIBLE. Upon arriving, I was happy with
the gentleman that helped us check in and it went downhill from there. There was
a very rude clerk who angrily knocked on our door and told us we were being
loud. We had the TV on at a decent level and we talking at a normal level as
well. OK, I got over that quickly and turned the TV down and closed the window
thinking that was the problem. We had no more issues with that. HOWEVER, the
next day before check out I had to call the front desk and the woman who
answered not only rushed me on the phone and didn't listen to what I was asking
but was the rudest person I have spoken to in a long time. I don't usually
complain but have to because I was shocked at the poor level of customer service
for a 3 star hotel that cost more than what I usually pay for a 4 star hotel. I
will not stay there again and would direct others elsewhere.

Just my complaints: 1. Parking fee is expensive. 2. Restaurant AND bar close at
10pm! What? Wow.

Good pick, Mom!
What a great location! As requested, our rooms had views of Lake
Union--picturesque with its sailboats. We enjoyed being within walking distance
of great restaurants, the Space Needle, a park, and having easy access to the
Trolley. Paying for parking was a negative, but our accommodations (the pool,
the hot tub, the comfortable beds, sizeable rooms, and the great cookies) made
the stay positive. We'd stay here again.
Area recommendations
We enjoyed Pike Place Market, the Locks/Salmon Ladder, and the Space Needle--all
Seattle landmarks.
