Hotel Review of the La Quinta Inn Downtown Seattle
August 24, 2011
We arrived at the La Quinta Inn in downtown Seattle and the place looked bad
from the outside - I decided to check out the room before committing to pay for
our reservation. Lobby was very nicely appointed and the room upstairs exceeded
our expectation. Interior looks to have been recently renovated and the rooms
were very clean. Nice central location - walking distance to Pikes Marketplace
and downtown shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is great as far as getting to downtown, the rooms are nice and
clean, and the free parking is a great perk. The only downsides were the
breakfast was not that good, and the wireless internet didn't work that well.
Despite that, I would definitely consider returning if I travel through Seattle
again.

We stayed at this property for one night. The room was clean, no funky odors as
others experienced. The free breakfast was tasty. The parking was very cramped.
Walking distance to many stores and attractions.

Our young family just spent a long weekend in Seattle and packed in as much as
we could manage in three days. The LaQuinta was the perfect location for walking
with our wheeled luggage from the Link. (Tip - The Link is the perfect way to
travel from the airport to downtown. We spent $8 for one-way tickets for two
adults and two children.)
The hotel provided a hot breakfast option each morning along with cereal, fruit,
juices and a plethora of hot coffee or tea. Complimentary ice water and tea were
always available in the lobby as well as a chocolate chip cookie in the evening.
A Whole Foods Market is located 1/2 block from the hotel as well as a great
Korean/Sushi restaurant next door. The rooms have mini-fridges for leftovers as
well as a microwave to warm your food. We loved that the hotel practiced
recycling and composting! The beds were incredibly comfortable and we had a
perfect view of the Space Needle. This location is twenty minutes walking
distance from both the Space Needle and Pikes Place Market. We made it an
adventure each trip by taking a different route.
Hotel staff arranged our transport to Pier 91 for our Princess Cruise and the
total cost was only $20 for the four of us. Hotel staff members were very
friendly and accommodating.

Good: Rooms are clean and comfortable
Better: Dogs stay at NO charge
Best: Free parking and within walking distance to Downtown Seattle, Pike Place
Market, Space Needle, etc. |
