Hotel Review of the Roosevelt Coast Hotel Seattle

Good value for the money and great location. I was surprised at how spacious my
room was. Desk was not that great, so I'm glad I didn't have to do a lot of work
there. Nice flat screen TV and beds & linens are updated. The bathroom is quite
small, but the hotel has maximized storage space so it's still functional. My
only complaint is that my room rate - booked through an agency - was supposed to
include a food & beverage coupon. I asked someone at the front desk about this
twice, they both promised to talk to the manager, and not a single person ever
got back to me during my 3 night stay.

I would give it zero stars if I could. When we arrived after our cruise to check
in we were told they had move stay overs than expected and that they had no room
for us. They had not attempted to contact us before our arrival. They moved us
to a hotel that was several miles away in the university district and told us to
walk next door to a shopping center to catch a shuttle to that hotel. They
didn't even provide transportation. It took us over 40 minutes just to deal with
the situation at the Roosevelt plus the shuttle ride, plus the check in process
at the new hotel. It took us over 90 minutes just to check into a hotel room,
that wasn't the one we wanted!
We booked the hotel specifically because of it's location in downtown, which we
were no no where near. Once we got to the other hotel, there were continued
issues and the entire day was filled with stress and frustration. I would never
stay at this hotel or any other Coast hotel ever again.
And we were not alone. I watched them turn away at least 5 other groups while we
were standing there waiting.

Overall a great stay. We stayed here for three nights over Memorial Day Weekend.
I would not change anything. Very clean, big rooms. We booked through their
website that included valet parking in the price, otherwise if you have a car,
its an additional 26 bucks a night. The beds are very comfy and the rooms have a
great view. Our room was on the 10th floor and never waited more than 30 seconds
for the elevator, very quick. There are tons of restaurants located within
walking distance along with the Public Market on the Water Front. Only about a
10 Min walk. Don't miss the restaurant located next to the lobby, Vons. It has a
great dinner and drinks.

This hotel is in a great location, which is the least of it's attributes. The
bed was incredibly comfortable, better than home! Great ambience combined with
friendly helpful staff made this a must return destination.

This was the first hotel we stayed in during our latest North American trip, and
we were really happy with it. The Roosevelt has a great old world feel, with
beautiful wallpapers and furniture to match. The staff are friendly and
obliging, and the room was very clean. We stayed in a Deluxe Room, which I'm
pretty sure is the smallest they offer - but for travel it was a perfect size.
The best thing about the Roosevelt is its location to Downtown Seattle. It was
by far the most convenient hotel we stayed at on our trip - easy to duck back to
the hotel for a mid afternoon break, and safe enough to wander home at 2am after
a long dinner and drinks. Perfect! |
