This hotel is located smack in the middle of the downtown area. It's within
walking distance of the Pike Place Market, Seattle Art museum, Benaroya Hall,
and many other attractions. HOWEVER.... these are all located downhill from the
hotel, and require quite a steep hike back up about 5 long blocks (especially
from Pike Place market).
This hotel is very non-descript from the outside, and if I hadn't read the
reviews beforehand, I would probably have kept on walking based on the outside.
It's an old hotel that has been updated on the inside!! Our room was absolutely
gorgeous! Deep wine colors everywhere, and so comfortable to have a sofa and
table.
The only 2 cons I can think of were that the ice machine was 2 floors down, in a
hard to find closet, and that there was a cracked tile in our bathroom. It
pinched my foot when I stepped on it. It wasn't a big deal to me, but I did let
the desk know about it. I also mentioned it in my post stay questionnaire from
the hotel, and they sent me a free night stay! Wow... talk about customer
service... that was totally unexpected!
All in all this is a great property, and I would highly recommend it to anyone
looking for a place to stay in Seattle.

What a fabulous hotel!! Excellent accommodations. Fantastic city view with
windows that open [3inches then safety limiter]; 5 bed pillows that make a
dreamy mountain range. a sink fixture that makes a mini waterfall--resembling
the many water fountains around the city...umbrella and robes in the closet. all
night menu for room service! Kind, Caring, and Amusing hotel staff...doggie bowl
at drive and little bone biscuits near desk..:)

I stayed for 4 nights while a meeting was in town. The first night my room
overlooked a parking lot, and even though it was a fifth floor room, it felt
like I was looking into the headlights. They gave me a new room the next day and
the whole stay was very easy. The hotel was clean and stylish and very well
located
The only downer was that the workout room could not have been smaller. It had
room for a stack of dumb bells, a bike, treadmill and eliptical. That was it

The staff was nothing short of fabulous! From the valets in the parking area to
the front desk clerks, maids and room service. Cozy atmosphere, beautiful, clean
rooms and totally pet friendly. We highly recommend this property and hope to go
back again some day. Thank you so much for a great time! |
