Hotel Review of the Executive Hotel Pacific Seattle

Spent one night here and it was a good deal for the money. The room was clean, though a little worn around the edges it was worth the money. Walls are a little thin so could hear neighbors (bring ear plugs) but not bad. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location for my needs...

I stayed in this hotel for one night in January 2010 (not May, but I guess TA doesn't go back that far). Haven't been back since, and won't be back, but I remember my impression of the hotel vividly.

The website fooled me with it's shiny and well kept-looking photos. This hotel is definitely old, and is definitely in serious need of a thorough update. It would be a pretty cool boutique hotel if this were to happen. My room was around the corner from the elevator, and the noise from that was literally constant. It's true the walls are paper thin. We could practically make word for word of our neighbours conversation. Either it's literally been ages since the walls have been washed, or the no-smoking rule is not enforced, but there was a stuffy, smoky, mushroomy stench throughout the entire hotel. The room, and bathroom, did NOT feel clean and were SO tiny. I was expecting to take a pack of bed bugs home with me. My biggest issue was with the headboard... It was a faux leather material, with huge scratches/gauges scraped throughout, which was pretty sketchy to me. I also had an excellent view of a neighbouring concrete building, with an alley of dumpsters below. (If concrete is an unappealing view for you, beware of hotels with online photos of their rooms with the blinds/drapes closed... big red flag!)

I personally like things bright, spacious, charming, and clean. If you do too, this is not the hotel for you. It is not at all luxurious. The location is pretty good and central (being from Seattle it's not the location I would want, but close enough), and of course the prices are great for downtown.

My stay was pretty basic- just needed a bed- so I have no idea about their amenities if they have any.

I have stayed at this property before and was quite happy with room and service. This time what a disappointment! We arrived in late evening and were greeted by a less than enthusiastic Front Desk clerk. He only wanted to get us checked in, spoke very little and then disappeared. We went up to our room, to find all the HVAC generators outside our window by literally 12", and the blinds didn't close because the wand was missing to open and close the blinds. The hotel has been updated and the room looks lovely, yet very small, and quite clean, but the blinds, the attitude of the clerk and the noisy generators changed the experience completely. We called the front desk to be told that the clerk was "out" for a few minutes - we returned to the front desk to ask for another room. Another guest arrived at the same time to check in. The clerk asked what our issue was so we told him, and he then said "well, I'll check you in sir" to the other guest. We were told there were no other rooms available. End of story. No other options, offerings, or assistance. We asked if the blind could be closed and the bell hop stepped in and offered to go up and check. He closed it somehow and apologized to us. The Front Desk Clerk said nothing, and offered nothing! The next morning the day clerk offered her sincere apologies, gave us vouchers for breakfast, and explained they were full so nothing else was possible, and the behavior of the clerk the night before was unacceptable and she couldn't stop apologizing. The morning we left, we had knapsacks, breakfast and coats in or hands and the bell hop onthe door stood there with his hands in his pockets and watched as we struggled through the door offering no assistance what so ever! Another employee who could use Customer Service training. Would we recommend to friends/family - no. Would we stay again - no. We travel around the world and stay in low cost hotels, and this one took the cake at a higher price.
