Hotel Review of the Holiday Inn Seattle

I enjoyed my stay here.. typical hotel amenities. Staff was very rude with a
couple major exceptions. Not many rooms have views, but the rooms I stayed in
were spacious and clean. Restaurant adjoining was reasonable and tasty. LIttle
Red Bistro a few blocks down the street was a cool place for coffee or lunch.
Bed was fairly good, nice bedding. Loved how large the room was. Large TV and
space to work or relax in the room. Denny Park nearby has pretty trees.

Hotel was nice and close to the most of the major landmarks. Easy to find,
althouth some Seattle streets can be confusing (think one way streets). The
staff was extremely friendly and attentive: Called cabs for us asap, recommended
restaurants, sent towels asap. Everything was good about this hotel except the
noise from the hallway...especially at 3am. You could basically hear their whole
conversation, word for word. Its a small annoyance as once they enter their
rooms the noise goes down tremendously. Unless they decided to have a
conversation in the hallway for 10 minutes. =( But I'm sure if we had informed
the staff they would have taken care of the situation. It was over before we
knew it and back to sleep ZzzZzz. I would stay here again though.

We selected the Holiday Inn Seattle (City Center) on the heels of a Royal
Caribbean cruise based on its proximity to the Space Needle. The staff was quite
pleasant, and the rooms were clean and neat. It's co-located with the Holiday
Inn Express which actually might better serve a family based on the Express
offering free breakfast and a swimming pool, but the Express was also $40 more
per night, so it was a coin toss for us. The hotel was conveniently located near
the space needle and monorail, and there were plenty of local restaurant options
within a 10 minute walk, so we give this hotel two thumbs up.

I loved how close it was to everything. We had a wonderful time walking to
Belltown, Space Needle, Pike Street Market, Pioneer Square, the Pier (Crab Pot)
and Macy's! Also I loved the fact that the breakfast was in a restaurant where
we could order an omelette instead of just muffins and fruit. The food was very
good and it was nice to sit in the bar and have a cocktail after getting back
from our walks before heading up to the room.
The parking garage was a little scary but we had a big truck. We learned that
the city is better suited to small vehicles. No big deal we just left it there
and walked!

It was very clean and within walking distance of the arena
The property was very nice. The hotel staff were very helpful and did go out of
the way to assist the customers.
I couldn't not believe that parking was not included in the price of the hotel.
Also the movies that you could order was more expensive than if you walked down
and went to the theater.

1St of all the parking garage was horrible! The ceiling was so low and the
parking spaces were so close together. It was ridiculous trying to get our
luggage out of the car without hitting the vehicle next to us. We actually
didn't park in the garage one of the nights we were there because we got back
from our event one night and there were no parking spaces! I wouldn't of been so
upset if we didn't have to pay for the parking but we did! 2Nd thing I didn't
like about the hotel was the girl at the front desk. She looked at me like I was
crazy when I asked if she had any plastic utensils. She sounded really rude when
she told me she could go find some and have someone bring it to my room. It was
funny hearing her treat me that way especially when I just ran into the gm in
the elevator and he was very nice and polite. 3Rdly it was very loud and we
could not sleep. The people above us sounded like they were having a party in
their room, there were a crowd of people outside our room door talking very
loudly at 2 in the morning for like 30 minutes and lastly our room was facing
the busy street and we could hear every vehicle that went by and all the drunk
bums on the sidewalk. It just was not a pleasant relaxing experience that I
think a hotel stay should be. I usually don't want to leave hotels but in this
case I could not wait to get out of there. I will not recommend this hotel to
anyone
