Hotel Review of the Edgewater Hotel Seattle

We got a great deal on Priceline and were lucky enough to end up at the Edgewater. It's the only hotel on the Seattle waterfront, and about a 10 minute walk to the Space needle, or the other direction to Pike Place Market, and about a 30 minute walk to the ball parks. The room was very large. We didn't get a waterfront view, but had a nice view of the space needle from our room. The workout facility in the hotel is pretty good. Their room amenities guidebook is not very complete, so make sure you ask about charges, and ask about their facility services. Parking was pretty expensive, but probably typical for a large city, and there are 24 hour privileges, which is nice.

We had the most wonderful time staying at this hotel. the staff is very professional, the accommodations are terrific. We had a water-side suite for my family of 5 and could not have been more thrilled with everything the hotel had to offer us. The view was breathtaking and it was such a great way to experience Seattle, which is a wonderful port town. The location was perfect for us - walking distance to Pike's Place Market, Bell Town restaurants and bars and on a free bus line to Pioneer square. We did not rent a car and never felt we needed one as the public transportation was very accessible. The hotel dining was wonderful as was the hotel bar, which had live music and fabulous views. My extended family was staying in other hotels in town, but all agreed we had the best spot. We will be returning to Seattle and will stay here again!

Went for a long weekend getaway and always enjoy Seattle. When we arrived we found out that we only had a kingsize bed, so asked for 2 beds as requested on reservations, and one was found. We were on the cityview side which was nice, had a view of the space needle outside our window. The only problem for me as I am a light sleeper was the train, it was pretty quiet considering it's close proximity to the hotel, however it felt stuffy in the room so opened up window a bit and then you could hear it...2-3 times at night. May have done better at sleep if the bed was just a wee bit softer... friend said it was just right for her... the restaurant food was excellent and the view from there was fantastic. Most definitely would go again.. just with the water view!! Service was great!

My mother and I stayed here in early May. We had double beds, and a first-floor room on the water. It was wonderful.

Yes, the room was small--but not so small you couldn't get around. I've definitely stayed in smaller. The in-room fireplace was cozy. The room was clean--and I'm sensitive about cleanliness. The staff was very helpful. At least where we were on the water side, I couldn't really hear any noise; with the window open, you could of course hear ships going by, but I enjoyed it. The view was great. I slept through the night both nights with no problem, and I'm not a heavy sleeper. The bathroom was fabulous; I would love to have one like it (though I'm not a fan of the slow-draining vessel sink). Note that there is no tub--I would never dream of taking a bath in a hotel, but I'm sure some people might miss it.

I don't think any of the decor looked dated at all--it was a modern take on classic northwest timber decor. The bar was swanky, with neato projections on one wall. There is indeed food served after 9pm, and they were gracious about my very specific cocktail request. Which they handled beautifully. My mother and I were able to walk everywhere in town, including to Pike's Place market. There is a steep climb up from the waterfront to the center of town, so be forewarned if you have problems walking. If you want to park in their lot, the valet parking is mandatory. I advise just budgeting it in. Also note that like most upscale hotels, they do charge a fee for in-room wifi. I can't wait until hotels stop charging.

I'm not associated with the hotel in any way; I'm just so surprised to see so many negative reviews. If you want to stay on the water, be sure to request a room on the water. Also note that if you make the reservation through a service like Priceline, the reservation at the hotel may not match the reservation you made. This happens at every single hotel I go to, but be prepared, and consider calling ahead of time to confirm your room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the water.

Cozy hotel and room with gas chimney. The room was small but the bed comfortable. The whole interior is old fashion stylish. Liked it.
The cheesy-bacon popcorn from the minibar is disgusting (at least not my taste).
I recommend this place
