Hotel Review of the Sixth Avenue Inn Seattle

We had a great time at this hotel during our visit. We ended up changing rooms after the first night. The room just wasn't very clean. James switched us in the morning after I mentioned it. James is FABULOUS! Very helpful and informative. The restaurant makes good breakfasts (that's all we tried).

I was fairly satisfied with my stay at the motel--nothing fancy but OK for the price. The bathroom was really small but the room size was OK and the bed comfy. When I got home, however, I had an email from my credit card with a $25.00 (extra) charge from the motel -- itemized as SIxth Ave. Inn --Restaurant. We didn't ever step foot in the restaurant, never ordered any room service or anything else from there, so why the charge ? I immediately contacted the Inn (by email) asking about it and haven't heard a thing back yet (and it has been over a week now). This has changed my opinion of the place from OK to POOR. Maybe this review will get me an answer.

It would be hard to beat this spot for convenience to transportation, shopping, the Space Needle, the Convention Center, the Pike Place Market, etc. The staff was among the friendliest and most helpful I have encountered; they even have stamps and envelopes if you have unexpected business to take care of. You wouldn't want to be too fussy about appearances, as there were some stains on the carpet, dirty windows, etc. But if your needs are more functional than aesthetic, this would be a good choice.

The reviews looked good. Price and location, right on the money. Service was great. Some reviews said the bathroom was small. To me it was OK. Lack of counter space was a small factor. Dispensers for soap ect. were OK. Saves some money I am sure. The big thing for me. That bathroom was spotless. Corner to corner. Thats the first thing I look at . This may sound crazy. However the grout was uniformly the same color. My conclusion, it gets cleaned often and correctly.
The room it self was clean and fresh. Heating unit worked very well. It was in the mid 40's.
Some reviews mention the men's club nearby. Dont see the issue. The place is half a block away across a parking lot.
Noise not a problem. The hotel was near full. My room was facing the street. I live in a city so no big deal for me.
Restaurant on site. Food was good and service was fast . A nice relaxing meal in nice relaxing atmosphere
I was glad to find this hotel.
It was an $8.00 cab ride from King Street Station.
All in all a great stay. They are all about service.

i stayed here for a night with 3 other friends in a private room for 4. cheap and great value for money! James at the reception was really friendly and helpful in getting us to settle in the hotel. beds were really soft but the pillows could have been bigger (slightly too small). There were four of us but only 2 towels were provided. But free printing and computer usage were a plus. Wifi available throughout the building but connection in the rooms were slightly weak. The gym was good! i enjoyed my run there. gym towels were provided as well. we checked out early but they allowed us to keep our luggage with them. walking distance to all the major attractions. keep us the good work guys!
