Hotel Review of the Sorrento Hotel Seattle

Just returned from a short but extremely lovely stay at the Sorrento Hotel!
Staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful in all aspects of the stay! Room was
beautifully furnished with period decor, and the bed was absolutely heavenly! I
loved the small touches, such as ice cold water with lemon at the front desk in
the evening, and lemon drop candies in the morning! Hotel restaurant was
fabulous, very tasty food and well worth a visit. Hotel is rich with history and
even has ghosts, what more can an adventurous but luxury-loving traveler ask
for!

First of all, this hotel is a fine facility down to the details. Just staying in
such a historic place is worth the experience. So the details, but with
explanation first: this was a business trip, and I arrived about 9 pm and
checked out at 8 am the next morning, so my experience with the hotel was a bit
limited. The check in was warm and efficient, couldn't be improved upon. The
room--mine was small but wonderful down to the smallest details--was impressive.
When I took a shower, it took a very long time for the water temp to come up to
my comfort level. The checkout was not so good. Another woman rode the elevator
down with me, and I waited at the desk behind her for several minutes before
someone finally came out to answer the phone. We were both ignored while he
engaged in a long discussion with the caller. Since I had a timeline, so I ended
up just tossing him the key and leaving. When it's all said and done though, I
hope to come back for a weekend getaway sometime, I'd like to explore the hotel
and the area at a more relaxed pace. I recommend this hotel.

After a very long trip to Seattle, I was welcomed warmly by a very helpful staff
and checked into an absolutely beautiful room. Even though I was there for work,
this hotel was the perfect place for me to come "home" to and relax. I couldn't
have been happier with my stay!

Our first time back at the Sorrento in 30 years and were treated like royalty.
Everything was seamless from booking to departure. Beautiful suite with "Shaken
not Stirred' package, the only surprise was that the quality of service and $
value surpassed our expectations by a large margin! Excellent and accommodating
staff at front desk, dining room, room service, concierge, and valets. Treated
like we were the only guests, they should offer courses on SERVICE and ATTITUDE
to a number of other 5 star hotel chains! We will be back!

I am a frequent business traveler and stay at the Sorrento, on average, once a
week. The staff provide the most amazing customer service and I have come to
know many of them on a first name basis - I watch how their customer service is
consistent whether you're a frequent traveler such as myself, or a brand new
guest. The hotel is quiet, cozy, in a great location and affordable. The rooms
are very clean and the ambiance is unmatched! The hotel bar is gorgeous! They
recently changed their menu, and while some of my favorites are no longer
available, the quality of the food is still exceptional.
Whether you're a business traveler in need of fast service and wifi access, or a
couple celebrating a special weekend - the Sorrento is the place to be! My
favorite hotel in Seattle - business or pleasure!
