Hotel Review of the Marriott Hotel Seattle Waterfront
June 13, 2011
We stayed in a king balcony/waterfront room, which was wonderful. The pool area
is really nice. Half the pool is outside, half inside, with plenty of chairs to
soak up the sun, if the sun actually comes out. The elevator to access Pike
Place Market is right next to the hotel, a big plus. The Seattle Aquarium is
only a few blocks away and the walk to get there is along the waterfront, so
it's very pretty. One of the cruise ship companies boards right across the
street from the Marriott, but the ship left for its cruise at about 5 p.m. so
our waterview was preserved. There is a restaurant affiliated with the hotel,
but we ate our meals out, so I can't rate the bistro restaurant. Parking is $34
per night. No free in-room internet, but you can use wifi in the lobby, which is
huge.

We love this hotel. This is the 3rd time we've stayed and it is always our first
choice in Seattle. The location is fantastic - walk to the Aquarium, Pike Place
Market, lots of shopping and many restaurants are within walking distance. The
rooms are always very clean and the staff is very attentive. The pool is small
but the pool deck has a beautiful view and nice seating, and my kids love that
that can swim inside and outside.

We always stay at Marriott hotels, but this one was new to us. Now we won't stay
anywhere else when we go to Seattle. Great seafood restaurant across the street,
Seattle Acquarium within walking distance, and quite close to Qwest field.
(We're baseball fans)
Friendly bartenders, and great happy hour snacks.

Stayed here for a function. Hotel and the room was nice. Overall, a very good
stay. The one negative is parking. Only street parking and some garages are
available. I thought the valet parking ($41 a night) was high but I hear other
hotels charge the same. Either way that is high.

I am the meeting planner for a 400 person group that recently met at this hotel.
Our group loved the place and they enjoyed excellent food at our various
functions,
gorgeous views of Elliott Bay and very pleasant accommodation.
The Dungeness Crab Benedict at the 2100 Restaurant is not to be missed. The
luncheon fish sandwich was better than Anthony's across the street.
Not all rooms have super water views. Spend a little extra for a Bay Front room.
The concierge lounge features excellent breakfasts and a friendly staff. Worth
paying extra.
My only criticisms are the snotty front desk crew particularly a tall guy who
seems
to have an attitude and the ultra expensive valet parking.
This hotel offers a fabulous Seattle waterfront experience. It can be pricey but
you'll
never forget the gorgeous views.
Room Tip: 804 - panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains

We go away every year to celebrate our favorite Irish holiday; St. Patrick's
Day. This year was my choice and I always wanted to visit the city of Seattle.
We picked the Marriott Waterfront for our stay, four girls, two rooms. We needed
two connecting rooms with four beds and when I called to confirm it, the lady
assured me it would not be an issue and it wasn't.. We checked in early and our
rooms were ready. The rooms were clean and very convenient. Our favorite thing
about the hotel is its location and proximity to all walking areas in downtown
Seattle. We also enjoyed their breakfast buffet daily. It was the perfect hotel
for our annual Girls Getways. |
