Hotel Review of the Sorrento Hotel Seattle
Apr 30, 2011
I stayed here after finding a good, last-minute weekend rate on their website
The staff was accommodating and friendly, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
I also thought their selection of in-room coffees and teas was excellent. I
stayed on a Saturday night but did not really notice any of the siren noises
that other people have written about. The hotel was within walking distance of
many of Seattle's major attractions, but yes, the hills are steep and not
recommended for families with strollers who prefer to walk rather than drive to
Seattle's shops, restaurants and museums.

The experience my husband and I had was FABULOUS from the time we pulled up at
Valet to the Time we checked out.
The Sorrento has the BEST Staff ,The Hunt Club Restaurant had Five Star Food and
Service, The Suite was Exquisite, we stayed in the Music room, Great décor ,AND
the Most Comfortable Mattress. The only thing we did not have in the bedroom was
a flat screen TV and believe me we did not miss it

Lovely old hotel, still in great shape and run expertly. Elegant, charming room
layouts. Extremely helpful staff. Warm, friendly bar, and QUIET (which I love).
Live music in evenings on weekends. A quite good restaurant.

The staff at The Sorrento Hotel were professional, friendly, and caring. They
treated us like royalty. My wife was having testing done at the Virginia Mason
Hospital. We were not businessmen or professionals but pretty common folks. We
were treated with the same excellence as though we were professionals.
I wanted a nice comfortable place for my wife while she was going through her
testing. Sorrento Hotel, it's accommodations, and staff exceeded our
expectation. What a memorable experience. Thank you for all your service to us.
We can't wait to come back.Hotel Review of the Sorrento Hotel Seattle

The Hotel is very nice on the outside and the lobby awesome but the staff just
doesn't seem to work together and seemed to be lost in most cases. We got a
suite and got my daughter a reg room and i would have paid our price for hers
instead of our. the room just seemed out dated yet it was clean. The door to the
TV cabinet was falling off and the bed didn't sit even the left side almost
touched the floor. And we used the fax a lot for our work but that's when it was
working and when it was running half the time the faxes would never go threw,
the the charge for faxed went from $8 for about 30 pages to $56 lol. the dinner
was good for most part but we wanted to have a nice dinner our last night my
meat was over half fat with about two bites of meat. Along with that I wonder
now what is the sign for that you put on your door that says do not disturb
cause it never stopped any of the staff from coming in at all and when they did
they only knock once, better hope your dressed. and last but not least put your
stuff up before the maids come in or they will throw it away- my laptop cover
and my daughters contacts lens and case all in the trash. I could write a book
but think I have said enough |
