I found this amazing hotel, the Inn at El Gaucho on ILoveinns. The hotel is intimate, comfortable and the staff is lovely and helpful. The location is fantastic, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go; Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, The Space Needle, Shopping, Dining and more. They have extra touches that make it really nice, delicious chocolate chip cookies in the room on arrival, cozy bathrobes, Starbucks coffee (and tea) in the morning, room service from the restaurant at El Gaucho and the food is amazing! I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay at El Gaucho. The staff was friendly and helpful. The small touches here were really lovely--chocolate chip cookies at arrival, hand-written thank you notes and key card envelopes, water and coffee available. The lobby's really nice with a fireplace and a swanky Old Hollywood feel. Wall art was Hollywood inspired. I enjoyed the location...walkable to downtown and the Seattle Center. Funky neighborhood. Room service available from restaurant, but that's out of our price range.

The room was sort of small, but did have a great leather seating area with a loveseat and chair. "Office" area in a large closet. Small bathroom with shower only. The shower was one of the best I've ever taken though! The showerhead is high, which is great for tall people like us. Housekeeping was good (not great--everything was clean though!).

I thought this hotel was fantastic at a reasonable price.

This was one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. There was a full sized leather sofa in my room with a great flat screen! The linens, glassware, bath products were of a higher quality than you would normally have in a hotel. The staff was great with suggestions of where to go, and most importantly you are within walking distance of everything. There are no amenities such as exercise equipment, but there is a jogging path nearby. It was quiet and restful. I would stay here again.

We spent a lovely 7 days at this hotel. I love it! Best night sleep I've had in a long time. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows and down comforters. Loved the leather couch with flat screen TV. If you don't want to watch TV you have lovely built in radio with great sound system. Gourmet coffee or tea anytime you want it in your room while you're working on your computer with wireless. If you run out of coffee in your room, there's always a fresh pot in the lobby with fresh baked cookies to enjoy while sitting in the lounge area. Very centrally located hotel with lots of quaint eateries and shops. When we pulled up to the hotel, we were greeted at the door by the doorman who Who always opened the car door for us and always had something nice to say. The front desk receptionist were all very nice and helpful with suggestions on what to do and where to go. Would stay again

I stayed at this boutique hotel for 4 nights and loved the rooms (nice and spacious), bed, location, only a short walk to pike markets. The only down fall for me is if there is any noise on the street you can hear it very well in from your room, reception staff during the week were awesome, not so nice staff on the weekend. I loved the restaurant and cinema below the hotel i used them both as i was travelling on my own and didn't go out late so it was good i didn't have to leave the hotel to enjoy these, very good stay

This was by far one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were impressed with the decor, vibe, and staff. Raven at the front desk was AMAZING. She was friendly, helpful, answered all our questions, gave us good restaurant recommendations, told us where to avoid, told us where we should go, and was so friendly and patient. The room was wonderful! The bed was oh so comfortable, the shower was amazing (great water pressure and nice touch with the shampoo/conditioner/ body wash in the shower), lots of choices for channels, and the bed was so comfortable (worth saying twice!). The location was perfect - walking distance to lots of restaurants, cafes, Space Needle, Pikes Place Market, and everywhere else we went in Seattle. Our room overlooked Wall Street with a good view of 1st and we didn't have any issues with noise. Yes, there are stairs and after a long day of walking it's not the most exciting thing to face, but it was all made better when the friendly staff greeted us and we knew we were only steps from our comfortable, cozy room. I would definitely recommend the Inn at El Gaucho and will definitely stay there again.

Only stayed one night at this place, but it was an important one, as it was the night before the start of our 3.5wk road trip. Read a lot of reviews before booking a place and this one seemed to be a bit out of the ordinary.
And yes, it is. In a good way! The room are cozy, the sofas give it an important extra touch, the bed was super comfy and the staff was very helpful!
Would definitely recommend this place to friends!!

Took a quick two night getaway to Seattle and decided to try the Inn at El Guacho. Glad we did as the Belltown location was amazing. The staff were all delightful and while I missed the full breakfast that a B&B might offer the coffee and newspaper were a welcome start to the day.

Our room was at the back (corner) and had a comfy queen bed and lots of space with a great sofa and flat screen TV.

While all of this was great what I really liked was the funky vibe of being above a fab restaurant in a cooly decorated space.

Don't go if you need a chain hotel but if you like different, funky and friendly this is an inn worth visiting.

Read a few (albeit older) reviews of The Inn at El Gaucho and wanted to clarify (1) yes there are stairs but (2) the staff was overwhelming willing to carry our bags up/down whenever we entered. The location was pretty good - centrally located between Space Needle, Pikes Market & Cruise Terminal - with plenty of stores, cafes, etc near by. Overall, our 2 night stay was lovely. The room was great, the bed VERY comfy and the service was fantastic - very helpful and hospitable. PS: And, yes it was helpful to know in advance that the Inn entry was the door next to the restaurant entry - just in case you arrive at an off hour when the door person is not out front.
