We came back to Hotel Andra after a stay on Orcas Island. We needed to check in early because of a hick-up in the place we had been staying in on Orcas. I called at 4:30 am and talked with a great person on the front desk (I believe it was Ben?) and he was most helpful. We got to Seattle and went directly to the hotel and there was a room waiting for us way before check-in time. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room quiet as we needed. I do believe Hotel Andra will be our go to hotel in Seattle from now on. The Hotel Andra Seattle location is great, the staff friendly and helpful. My only pick is the lack of free internet but everything else makes up for that.

We recently visited Seattle to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We took advantage of a deal that included free parking (normally around $40 per night) and booked a Lux Corner Suite for our stay.

The Hotel Andra Seattle, advertised as being in the Belltown area, is actually kind of on the border between the downtown core and Belltown proper, which is a bit north of the core. The lobby looks exactly like the photos on the hotel website. A small thing, perhaps, but too often reality falls well short of one's expectations.

The Andra is carved out of a vintage building, and the decor is a very pleasing combination of sleek modern amenities, charming early 20th century millwork, and quirky old-time floorplans. Our suite included a spacious living area with sofa, a giant picnic table-like desk, cordless phone, windows on two sides, flat screen TV, minibar and coffee maker, several lamps, and an enormous freestanding mirror.

French doors led to our bedroom, which included two more full-sized casement windows, a very comfortable king size bed, a dresser, and walk-in closet. Stylish modern lighting flanked the bed, along with an alarm/iPod dock and a second cordless phone.

The smallish but functional and attractive bathroom featured a glass-tiled shower stall, a vessel sink, and slate floor tiles. Across from the bath was another dressing area/walk-in closet with an electronic safe. All in all, a very comfortable and attractive space.

Service at the Andra was unfailingly friendly. When we returned from an afternoon of wandering the nearby shops and bars, I noticed a flashing light signalling a message on our phone. When I retrieved the message, the receptionist simply mentioned that the hotel wanted to bring something up to our room. A few minutes later, with a knock on our door, the staff delivered nice bottle of champagne with compliments and best wishes for our anniversary – a thoughtful and welcome touch!

I stay in enough hotels to appreciate the challenge of providing apparently effortless service. In addition to a great physical plant and location, the Hotel Andra has mastered the service side of their business as well, giving guests a truly hospitable experience. Highly recommended.

This was our first weekend getaway in Seattle and the Hotel Andra made our experience all the better. The service staff were more than happy to make suggestions and reservations for us at some of the best restaurants in the city and Lola had a great selection of greek infused food and a good selection of cocktails for us to have after our late dinners. Our room was beautifully designed and very clean. Our only complaint was that when you flushed the toilet it was extremely loud which made it annoying if either of us used the facilities during the night. This won't keep us from going back by any means though. Hotel Andra is one of our favorite hotels and we will visit again.

We tend to book the Hotel Andra most visits to Seattle, and we'll likely stick with them. Staff is great, Lola is excellent, and the room is comfortable and clean. The room this time was oddly shaped and laid out, and frankly larger than I needed, but a minor quibble.
