We recently stayed at Hyatt at at the Hyatt At Olive 8 Seattle while attending a
convention in Seattle. Overall, we found the staff to be very warm and
welcoming. A couple of small nitpicks: charging $10/day for wireless access.
Hyatt advertises "High-speed wired and wireless Internet access." They should at
least let you know up front on their website that there is a charge for that
access. The beds were very firm and my husband had a difficult time sleeping
while staying there. The bathroom had a glass walk-in shower, so if you have
your heart set on a hot bath after walking the hills of Seattle, you will have
to make other plans. The valet parking was, we thought, expensive even for
Seattle standards. Aside from these things, we enjoyed a quiet and comfortable
stay. Next time, we will try to take advantage of Hyatt's Best Rate Guarantee.

This is my second stay at Olive 8 in Seattle. It is in a great location, two
block walk to all shops of downtown and easy access to capital hill or Pikes
market. You would have to take a taxi to belltown restaurants or walk 15 min.
The rooms are nice and spacious. Our only issue this time around was the very
loud chatting staff that woke us up at 8 on a Sunday morning. It may not be
early for some but when on vacation I like to have my rest and not worry about
alarms, especially on a Sunday. The hotel is also renovating the lobby and there
is lots of jack hammering, it wasn't heard in the rooms but made for a less than
grand experience as you enter/exit hotel. Overall I recommend this hotel! It
feels good to support a LEED certified building and their sustainable
philosophy. Tip: the hairdryers are provided but do not
Offer much heat and will take a long
Time to actually dry your hair.

The Hyatt Olive 8 was perfect for a couple of nights in Seattle on our way to
Vancouver. Centrally located, modern, clean and helpful. We had a king room
connecting to a double for our kids 16 and 12. Plenty of space. Our first time
in Seattle. Loved lunch at The Space Needle. Weather was great. We got lucky.
Seattle is beautiful. Two days was plenty of time to explore the city. Enjoy!!

We stay at the Hyatt At Olive 8 Seattle probably 3 times a year, loved our stay
again as always (travelling with teen children).
Check in was quick and friendly as always (car guys outside are the greatest),
room request for extra towels and blankets were in our room upon our arrival.
Room service was prompt and delicious (2 breakfasts, 2 dinners). Love the
complimentary green Washington organic apples at reception this time. A very
modern and clean hotel. Walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants.
The hotel was very busy because of Mama Mia playing across the street at the
Paramount Theatre, however that did not affect our service during our stay in
any way.
Hotel is conveniently located close to the highway for going other places as
well.
Will definitely stay here again and again!! |
