Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle is a very nice hotel with nice rooms which are
above standard for large chain hotels.
It's very conveniently located for the shops & restaurants - about 5 mins walk
from the Crab Pot for man V food fans! Wild Ginger restaurant also highly
recommended for delicious Thai food. I've always wanted to see Pike Place Market
& the fish throwing vendors - worth seeing definitely, but what amazed me about
the market was the fresh flowers & the cherries. Amazing! The seafood stalls are
amazing, the chewing gum wall stinking and the overall Seattle experience
fantastic. All within 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Would definitely recommend
this hotel and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you like old classic Hotels that have that "Old Lady" grace, then Fairmont
Olympic Hotel Seattle is the place. Central to Restaurants and shopping and very
easy to get to from Interstate 5, the main North South Freeway which goes
through Seattle. Great staff and very welcoming. The valet parking is expensive
but all parking in Seattle seems that way.
This is a great place to stay on the way through Seattle or for a weekend. The
rooms are typical of an older designed Hotel but they have done a great job
updating the rooms. Very Classy!!

Stayed at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle for a week on business. Nice hotel,
nice rooms right in the heart of downtown and super friendly staff from doormen,
to front desk to waiter/waitresses.
Here is a little story to sum up the experience. On night 3, without any other
real interaction with the concierge, we ask him to make a dinner reservation for
8 at the Metropolitan, a famous Seattle steakhouse. He makes the call for us and
we head out for a drink and then to the restaurant. After we are seated and
looking over the menu, the waiter brings 4 plates of 'American' Kobe beef
Carpaccio, compliments of the concierge at the Fairmont. Considering we had
never been in the hotel before and only had three rooms booked there at a normal
rate, I was extremely impressed by the gesture.
Also had a good (expensive) breakfast at the hotel and a very good seafood
restaurant (Shuckers) affiliated with the hotel.

All was perfect for our overnight musical get-away! The hotel is so lovely! The
dessert in the restaurant was over the top! The thermostat/heat made sleep tough
for me but all else was PERFECT!

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary here this weekend. The
hotel property is beautiful & grand and on the National Historic Registry. It's
also very centrally located in Seattle, where you can walk to many of the
attractions and shopping. The price was very fair and comparable to the Sheraton
(where we usually stay). The service was top notch. There is even a hotel car to
take you where you need to go. On the downside, there is no view, because all
the buildings around it are much taller and block and view that there maybe was
when it was built. The rooms and suites are small, the windows are very old and
leaky, the paint was even peeling off on our window sills. There was no coffee
maker in our room, or microwave, so we had to order up coffee service, which was
over $22!!!! The flat screen tv's in the rooms were fine, but they only basic
cable, and the pictures was snowy. Also, there is no wireless internet, at least
in the rooms. It's the old plug in cable type. I used the signal from Starbucks
across the street. The brunch buffet in the main restaurant, The Georgian Room,
was very expensive ($25.00) for the limited selection they offered. We expected
perhaps a carving station, omelettes, some seafood choices, etc. There was none
of that. Just eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruits and pastries and assorted cereals.
All and all, It is an elegant hotel with top of the line everything, and we
would definitely stay there again. But seriously, get those windows replaced!!!!

It was my moms 60th Birthday and I flew her out from Brazil to Vancouver, and
took a trip to Seattle. We decided to stay at the Fairmont as they have great
service ( I stayed in other Fairmont Hotels and it was amazing)
The service starting from the Valet to the front desk and room service is just
amazing. You feel like home and I didn't want to leave the place.. They called
me by my name and that is HUGE for me ; ) The concierge was so pleased and happy
to help. Thanks to William and Mario you guys made a HUGE difference on my
trip...
I can't thank you enough!

Fairmont is located within walking distance to great dining, shopping, theatre's
& markets. The staff is very attentive with the guest satisfaction top priority.
The Hotel is beautiful and even though they are constantly busy with guests, the
housekeeping and grounds are kept immaculate.
If you don't mind waiting 15-20 minutes for transportation they even offer a
free shuttle service. For us the wait is worth it as we don't have to drive or
pay for parking.
Tip: go for the Staycation package. The price includes breakfast and parking
(which can be a hassle if you are traveling during peak season).

The hotel is already delightfully ornate and grand. During November and December
the Fairmont Seattle is utterly festive and extravagant in all the right ways!
My husband and I love visiting Seattle and are happy to do so anytime of year;
we have traveled there for business and for relaxing getaways. We always stay at
the Fairmont during the holidays!
I also recommend, two places for dinner that are walking distance to the
Fairmont Seattle. First, "The Brooklyn" is amazing and the chef table is great
fun; it is located off 2nd and University. Next, I suggest, "The Purple Cafe and
Wine Bar". It is right up the street from the Fairmont before the Capital
Grille. |
