Came back as good location to shopping and easy commute to Seattle. Staff have
been helpful and friendly during all stays. We didn't stay for breakfast this
time as slept in , but in the past was standard hiexpress fare. Beds are very
comfortable. New Whole Foods on the corner so it's great to have fridge and
microwave in room.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Northgate Mall last year in
March for shopping trip thought we would try it again this year. Nice hotel
,good size rooms, great location. Not too far from downtown Seattle to do more
shopping ! Still a little noisy garbage trucks at 6 am in parking lot at the
strip mall in front of the hotel, breakfast room was not very busy but not
stocked with warm food both mornings they were out of items when we went down.
Next time will try a different place just to see if there is any difference.

I arrived in mid-January during the biggest snow storm to hit Seattle in years!
The roads were a mess and it was better to stay in. I was doing business locally
in Edmonds. Stephanie (GM) was very accommodating when she took my reservation.
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Northgate Mall rooms were above
average. The staff was WAY above average! Tom, Jelly, Sanas and Bee made me feel
at home. They even helped me with directions and suggestions from Pizza to
Sushi! Whenever I'm in that area, I'll be sure to make the Holiday Inn Express
Hotel and Suites of Lynnwood my hotel!

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Northgate Mall here a
couple of times for our shopping trips down to Lynnwood. After staying at a few
other hotels in the area in the past I think this is the best of the pack of
moderate hotels near Lynnwood shopping. When travelling in other areas we
usually stay in more of a Westin, Hyatt type hotel, but this Holiday Inn Express
is great. The rooms are large, new, nicely furnished, and immaculately clean!
The bathrooms are spotless and the basins gleam! The housekeeping staff here
needs to be commended for sure. The hotel is also very convenient for shopping
at Nordstrom Rack, DSW, Barnes and Noble, etc, and the Alderwood Mall is a 2
minute drive over the overpass. The only weak spot here is the free breakfast.
We like healthier options, and aside from the yogourt there is little here I
will eat, most of it being highly processed type food. Some fresh fruit would be
a nice addition. But it is free, so I don't expect much. We usually drive over
to the mall and get steel cut oatmeal and a smoothie from Jamba Juice instead.
We highly recommend this hotel.

We had a large room with two queen beds that was clean, comfortable and quiet
even though the hotel is on a main road. Other rooms nearer the highway may have
been noisier.
There was free wi-fi in the room and we had a warning message from our internet
browser, but we used it and did not have any problems.
There was a buffet breakfast and we found plenty to eat – cereal, bananas,
muffins, cinnamon rolls, bacon, and the pancake making machine was particularly
good!
We stayed for two nights in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites during October
2011.

I know it's an HI Express, but come ON.... This place is still stuck in the
khaki-trench-coat and hair mousse of the 90s. It's a bid tired-looking, could
possibly use a refresh.
Gripes: feels like it's in a crummy area on the north side of Seattle (oh wait,
it is). Curved shower rod = good; shower curtain not long enough to fully close
= bad. Elevators? They're not feeding the hamsters to run fast enough -
elevators take a while. Nightdesk doesn't like to brew fresh coffee, as I
apparently found my iced Poor Man's Mocha after the first sip. And into the
trash can it went.
Par: Beds are decent, guest laundry machines work well (they even gave me a
Complimentary dryer sheet, thank you very much..). Bathroom hardware did its
job, minus the ridiculous shower curtain. Hot breakfast is standard HIE stuff,
didn't disappoint. Wireless internet appears to be working well, so no
disturbing of my pet peeve there. This is a satisfactory place for business
travel; but we're on vacay, so it's kind of a bummer.
Would I/we stay here again? If there wasn't anything cooler available, ok.

I booked this hotel because I knew I would need parking that is otherwise
unavailable at the other 2 Holiday Inns downtown. It is a little further from
the city center but still a straight shot to all the main attractions. We had to
switch rooms due to the wifi connection not functioning in our room (too far
from router) but other than that a good (fairly quiet), clean, comfortable stay.

Check in was excellent. Room was very clean and spacious enough for a family of
four. Our room was next to the pool which was great for the kids and
surprisingly very quiet. The breakfast area was awesome....lots of room and nice
and bright. There wasn't any fresh fruit, which surprised me. Coffee wasn't too
impressive. Music was piped in everywhere, even outside in the parking lot which
was a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and eager to help, but most of them
didn't have alot of knowledge when it came to directions to certain shopping
areas and stores. We were given the wrong directions to go to Pike Place. Its a
very confusing city to get in and out of, so you really need to have a good map
with clear directions. Overall, the hotel was perfect for us. Clean, spacious,
nice decor, smelled wonderful......but the only downer for us was that it was
farther away from everything we wanted to see, which was more south. We enjoyed
it very much though. |
