Hotel Review of the Hotel Monaco Seattle Washington

9 April 2012
I had happened to get the Hotel Monaco Seattle on Hotwire. I never have used the site, but I am really glad I did.
We arrived at the hotel around 4:30pm. The valet took our keys and we went to check in. We were greeted and helped right away. The lobby was nice and staff was friendly.
They advised us that we came at the right time since they are doing some renovations to the hotel.
After going up to our room, there were men working in the hallway quiet loudly. I could hear their saws and hammers. I really just wanted to take a nap after a long boarder line up. There were empty wine glasses on the floor; I thought that was really odd. We turned the corner and our room was tucked in a little hallway. The hallway to the stairs was unfinished and opened. This being my first impression, I was nervous to open the door to our room. When we did, the room was very nice. It was really clean and up to par with cool technology features. (I could plug in my iPod, charge my iPhone, blackberry and GPS) The bed could have used more blankets. But we turned our heat up to accommodate that. :) The room also did smell like fresh paint, but we got use to it.
The noise outside stopped around 5:15 and we went downstairs to have a glass of wine.
Oh ya, they have happy hour, for free :)
We had some wine and were shown a magic trick or two. It was a very nice extra little touch.
We walked around the hotel and checked out the other amenities. (The work out room is small but had most of the equipment we were looking for)
Then we had a night on the town.
We came back from eating and sightseeing to get a little cozy in our room. The showers are very nice and the products they use are not those nasty shampoos that leave your hair dry and only enough for one person to take a shower. They had ample amount!
We checked out around 9... The Hotel Monaco Seattle check out is 12! This is really nice if you just want to lounge.
We would stay here again... :)

We stayed at the Monaco Seattle recently and we are already planning another stay at this hotel. You get excellent customer service from the moment you step in to the front desk to the end from every hotel employee. The rooms are lively, spacious and every detail for the well being of the guest has been taken into consideration.
The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to all important attractions, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping.
Parking was expensive, we were lucky enough to find a space by the bar window every night.
Awesome place and customer service!

Stayed at the Hotel Monaco Seattle for a 4 day trip. Great location near the University underground transit stop. Got the lowest total trip price for this hotel (hotel + airfare) through the hotel booking site. Service was excellent: the front desk person went and got our bags as the Bellhop was busy.

I could not have asked for better service than what I received at Hotel Monaco Seattle. Their hotel was lovely, clean and well taken care of. The staff was caring and made me feel very important. I highly recommend them as the "go to" hotel in Seattle!!

We were attending Teatro ZinZanni in Seattle, to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, and looking for a nice hotel downtown to make the most of our visit. The Monaco offered a really great price to theater guests, so we gave it a try. Starting right at curbside, with the charming and helpful valets, we knew we made the right choice. The lobby was magical, with its holiday decor, and the desk clerks were professional yet casual at the same time (really?) We felt special when we used the room key-card to reach our "secure" floor in the elevator, and imagine our surprise to find his and hers jungle print bathrobes (which we immediately donned, snapped photos, and texted them to our grandchildren) and a goldfish we named BART to keep us company. The bed was comfortable, room clean and nicely decorated, everything we had hoped for, but it was "the little things" that made it a perfect fit for us.

My husband and I have "getaways" in our own city. We stayed at the Monaco to celebrate our anniversary and spend some holiday time downtown. The staff was amazing. It was the perfect level of service. They were attentive without being overbearing, in a word, the service was excellent. Our room was very nice and they even left us a bottle of champagne and some chocolates to help us celebrate! Very unexpected and a nice touch. We will definitely stay again at this hotel. We also had breakfast at the restaurant and it was also very good.
