FANTASTIC! Had 2 bedroom suite with grandkids. It was great. Comfy beds, roomy
suite and the kitchen came in very handy due to gluten free diet. ONLY minor
minus at the Residence Inn Seattle Downtown/Lake Union was the pool. In all
fairness it was as advertised "cool". BUT hot tub and children's 3 foot deep
pool were warmer. Whole Foods store not terribly far away so we had plenty of
food. They even offered a "manager's reception" in the evening providing a
lovely salad bar for free AND breakfast was also free and looked delicious. Had
some gluten free options too so that was nice. Bonus of allowing pets. Enjoyed
seeing well behaved dogs :-) Would definitely stay there again.

On the plus side of the Residence Inn Seattle Lake Union:
location - walking distance from space needle, EMP, monorail, lake Union
staff - professional if not friendly
downside of the Residence Inn Seattle Lake Union:
felt like a lower quality hotel than a residence inn
food - average to awful
coffee - bad
overall not bad but not great. Pool was fine for kids but ground very slippery.

The Residence Inn Seattle Lake Union is great for the family, close to Seattle
Center. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They also have free breakfast every
morning with lots to choose from.

The Residence Inn Seattle Downtown/Lake Union is a great place to stay when
traveling to Seattle. The hotel provides a good breakfast, it is clean, and has
a paid parking garage ($23 per day). The Seattle Streetcar runs in front of the
hotel for easy access to local attractions. For a higher room rate, you can get
a room with a view of the lake. It is pleasant to see float planes taking off
and landing, along with the numerous sail boats cruising the lake. All rooms
come with a refrigerator, microwave oven and range top.

I have stayed here a couple weeks and am very impressed with place. The
reception area is nice and they have on-site, underground parking ($$), but
given the crummy Seattle weather, that works real nice. Rooms are excellent and,
if you stay on the lake side, you get nice views. Typical Marriott quality.
Breakfast is really excellent. Evening receptions are also very nice. Really, no
downsides except the expensive parking, but if you are a biz traveller, no Biggy.
I plan on staying here for a good long time.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a shopping weekend with my sister. The room was a
nice 1 bedroom with a fold out sofa and full kitchen. We faced the lake but
didn't have a view because we weren't high enough. I had heard these rooms could
be noisy because they faced the street, but we never found it too noisy.
The lobby has a huge atrium where snacks during the week and breakfast daily is
served. It is nice because you are not all crammed into a tiny breakfast room
like most hotels. The breakfast was good. We stopped in one night on the way
back from shopping and they were serving spaghetti and garlic toast and salad.
It didn't look too appetizing so we passed on it.
There is a trolley across the street that takes you to downtown shopping. We
found it very handy. We were originally concerned about restaurants close by as
we didn;t want to drive and were pleasantly surprised at the choices of
restaurants right across the street on the lakeshore. We had some great meals.
All in all a wonderful hotel and I would definitely stay here again! |
